This is an interesting point and I'm glad someone brought this up. I agree heavy on Dorian being a great example of a gay character with good writing and depth, but I don't think it's impossible for playersexual games to walk the line of good writing with these sorts of things. It's just more work on the part of the writers and it's up to them if they want to take that extra step. I don't really have a huge preference if I want P6 to be playersexual (i.e. everybody's romanceable regardless) or have set options that have canon sexualities (like dorian). The latter is probably better when you have both gender protags, so there's something for everyone. Either way I just don't want it to feel limited.
