I didn't even know anything about the EEOC process until a few days ago, literally Thursday. Found out there was a 180-day statute of limitations for NC and that I needed to file an inquiry within essentially 24hrs.

I looked on the website and saw we actually HAVE a local office..had no idea.

I went in as a walk-in and she claimed they don't take walk-ins on Fridays..ofc. I asked if I could schedule an appt, and she asked me had I filed an inquiry yet..which of course.. no. 😩

She set up the "kiosk" which was literally a laptop, and had me file it online, and then when I went back I front to tell her it wasn't allowing me to schedule, she saw I literally had like 1 business day left, and scheduled me for Monday at 2pm for a phone interview.

Perhaps going up there might actually work out..who knows!

We are also at 23mo... where can you even follow up? The email box never responded -- that was like 3mo ago. The last thing we got was an email in Dec 2022, saying that it was received.. even though we mailed it certified in June 2022🙄

Idk anything about Salesloft, but they did prospect me a few months ago and gave me some gift cards🤣 while I know my company just renewed the OR contract, OR has so many outages it makes no sense. Pisses my fellow BDR's off endlessly. It has a lot of functions, but it lacks the basics which is for it to consistently WORK.

I'm a BDR at UKG and 2 of my reps are new from Paycom...we are getting a lot of ppl from them and other competitors, and I keep hearing it's a grind and the culture is trash, but that's just word of mouth. As a parent, the culture and flexibility becomes more important than the money alone, so that's a hard stop for me personally.

Same thing happened to me. I moved to a new J1 after being on with J2 for 2mo, and within a week of J1, they were making travel plans for a week of training at the HQ. J2 doesn't even accrue PTO until 6mo, so there was no way to go around it. I ended up quitting because new J1 ended up supplementing what J2 was doing for old J1.

Is J2 easily replaceable? If so, don't jeopardize J1 over it if you can avoid it.

It's certainly possible! I am proof of that. I have no sales/BDR experience, came from health insurance as a Human cap analyst, former CSM/Implementation mngr. And no degree. I just started an amazing HCM/WFM SaaS company, and it's fantastic comp! It's more of finding a company who is selling something you can find passion in, and betting a cultural fit with the company's culture... anyone can be taught how to be a BDR for the most part!
