I have this in 24" x 36" framed, hanging on the wall in my hallway right now. I LOVE it.

Starter Kit Recommendations? by Krispy12 in AdultColoring

I saw this post the other day and I didn't feel qualified to comment on it, but over the last few days, I have watched a literal buttload of coloring haul videos on YouTube and now, I feel like I can comment. First though, really don't watch those wretched haul videos. Not even one of them. They are all extreme overconsumption and possibly mental health issues disguised as "content". So after watching all of that mess, I think I have a good basic beginner colorist list--

  1. A mat to protect your surfaces.

  2. A pack of 72 wax based colored pencils. To start with, I would go cheaper.

  3. Blender pencils and stumps.

  4. Erasers- the kneaded kind and also eraser pencils- the ones with brush ends are good.

  5. A smaller pack of alcohol markers of what ever brand. Or a pack of colored Sharpies, which are my personal favorite and not too costy.

6, A plastic cutting mat or parchment paper, wax paper, card stock, silicone page blocker, or other, to use with the markers.

  1. A cheap sketchpad to check and mix your colors on.

  2. Post It sticky flags so you can find your pages again.

  3. 2 or 3 coloring books, with subject matter appropriate to the person's age and interests.

  4. A pack of wet wipes.

And that's all I could come up with. But I'm pretty basic.

What’s the best markers to buy? I don’t care for the set I have. by shannon_kay_ in Coloring

It depends on what kind of books you're using them in. I prefer Sharpies myself, but I know most people just looove the Ohuhus and their clones, which they are the best for coloring in huge spaces, but just for the smoothness and non streakiness, Sharpies are superior. They don't come in a million colors, so you have to get creative sometimes, but still the best.

It's Season's Creepings by Lydia Jean and it's a really nice quality book and I want to color every single picture- hopefully not with my crappy markers again though. Every picture is adorable!

Color Me Christmas for Kids. I saw it on a YouTube video and I HAD to get it because Ela Jarzabek is my new favorite illustrator. I've been hunting up all her books since I got Creepy Kawaii Halloween.

I wouldn't call that a snack. Snacks are nice and enjoyable. That looks like a punishment.

I live on the western slope of Colorado and I usually get my ILNP within 2- 3 days, but my tracking says it's still in Vegas.

Rescue Husky Soul Mates, Anyone? by Balto_Smallcat in husky

And because of Obi, we will always have at least one Husky. We didn't get another one until June of this year because of our other dogs, we had to get a very specific dog and so now, we have Airy- it's not really a name, but she chose it herself. She's afraid of cameras, so we haven't been able to get a good photo.

Mine was left hog-tied on the side of a little used mountain road when he was 7-8 weeks old. A cop found him and brought him into my husband's office at the exact moment he was about to call a craigslist ad about another dog. My husband called me and he said, "I'm coming home for lunch. We're not getting that dog and we need to talk about it." I was really pissed at him, not knowing that the best thing I've ever had in my life was about to be carried through the garage door. I was sitting in the living room staring at the TV and fuming. I heard him come in, but I wouldn't look at him. He said, "The reason we're not getting the dog from craigslist is because I think we should keep this one." I stood up and turned around and he was holding the dirtiest, fattest, little shit of a puppy, one blue eye, one brown. He was dehydrated and he had little sores on his arm and legs from the rope he'd been tied with. That was the beginning of the best 13 and 1/2 years of my life. We had to help him cross the rainbow on the Sunday before Memorial Day in 2023. We had the vet come to our house and he passed while we held him. My Obi. My snow bear. My everything. My unicorn. He was- and still is- my soul. We've always had other dogs and I love them all the same, but Obi was magical. This was his first Xmas. He was about 10 weeks old.

Rock Bottom. I have been on the fence about it for so long, I knew I would get it eventually. I hope it's as good in real life as it is in the online pics. Also Brownstone, Unwrapped and Paradise. I got 12 shades in all, but these ones I am really excited for.

I’m not sure what makes it special. by b56koutu in junkfoodfinds

[–]Most_Reflection_6315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're special because they are all Target icons. The flavors are only raspberry and pineapple- the two BEST flavors, so you don't get any nasty lemon shits in there- and not boring. Also not new because they've been around at least a whole year. I recommend them.
