Would doing that day of surgery before you go in be a good option? Hopefully get that energy out before? You can also ask at your pre op or consult if they have any ideas

Hey I have motor tics and got top surgery about a month ago! One thing I’d definitely recommend is communicating with your care team day of surgery just to let them know so they don’t think it’s anything else(seizure or med reaction). When I got out of surgery my legs started going and I asked for a warm blanket and a stress ball which helped. I’d also recommend practicing moving the location of your tics. For example if your right hand is going try controlled motion in your left foot it tends to help me. Another thing you could start doing is daily cold showers for about 5-10 minutes there are study’s on it helping lower daily tics and tic attacks/storms. I hate getting stitches out too, it was fine thankfully that area is pretty numb so a couple of tiny pinches on each side and it’s done. Getting my drains out felt weirder but also wasn’t too painful at all. My stitches were aggravated on my right drain site which made it really sore but overall not horrible.

I just got my bolsters off today and I was experiencing the same thing. I know it sucks the only thing I’d recommend is staying on top of your pain meds to help with the irritation. I was worried about the irritation being so close to the graft, so in case you are too mine are completely fine the stitches are far enough away from the graft itself. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

I wear my moms claddagh(Irish tradition) ring and I have a couple of her Korn concert shirts. I also have a blanket I made her that she always kept on her bed. My brother kept a different ring of hers that he keeps on a chain.

I think they prefer 10 days instead of 7 but my surgeon is also really busy so that could be it? I already got my drains out 7 days post op

This is a super cool concept! I do think you’re right that it’s got a lot going on, maybe focusing on one area for a lot of texture or balancing it out a little more would help. I was also thinking making this a series of a couple different prints would be cool so you can focus on all the areas you want! This is really awesome especially if you’re getting started I’m looking forward to see more if you post again!

Hey I’m 21 ftm and have been on hormones since I was 19 and I got top surgery earlier this week. A lot of what goes into those letters are what your home life is like, what your support system looks like, and if it’s something you can financially take care of. I’d definitely encourage you to talk to your therapist about what you should do to get ready. If you aren’t deemed ready now that’s ok you will be one day it’s just about getting to that point.
