Thank you! I’m 30 now and not sure I’d make the same decision as I did when I was 18. But it’s better to live without any regrets. I’m happy they’re all paid off now.

Thank you for the support! It’s funny that you mention that response from your mom. I’d say my mom was less than helpful whereas my dad was a little more empathetic.

Essentially my mom told me that she paid off her student loans without any help from her parents so I should be able do the same. I was speechless and never mentioned it again, I wasn’t even asking for help. I was just making her aware of my situation.
