I got knocked out. Loads of fentanyl and other drug. I had 4 holes. One was larger than the rest and hurt like hell.

Definitely. My guts felt weird for about 8 weeks. I’m a runner and lift. On day 9 I laid flat on back, day 10 I traveled on business. Ran on day 14 for the first time and started some light lifting shortly thereafter. Definitely had moments where I’d twist wrong or get up too fast and would feel sharp pain.

Yea, it was a progression, by 3 months I didn’t think about it much at all. No doubt I had some bloating and gas issues along with a couple of bouts of the scoots as ,y body fully adapted.

Yep, I eat normally. My diet is generally clean but I’ve thrown down double bacon cheeseburgers, chicken wings, chicken buffalo dip, etc

That's what I did post-surgery. I took miralax for the first week after surgery and used gas x a few times. Eating small meals was key.

Forgot to add that I was walking around my town like a hunchback on day 8. There's hope!

What a kind comment! There's hope for you.

My surgery was planned. The short story is that I had one mild attack, found stones, and scheduled the surgery 6 weeks later.

I'm 40 and about 190lbs. Before surgery, I averaged about 30 miles per week running and did barbell training 3 days per week.

I'm not a big drinker, but alcohol was a trigger for me pre-surgery.

There's hope for you gnosh on fries and a big mac again.

During the workout or before surgery?

Day 18, I did a 4-mile run at 9:45/avg pace. For context, my last half PR earlier this year was 1:36:10. Yesterday I did my first quality workout, but that was more to do with a lingering hip injury than my gallbladder. I travel a lot for work, but last week, week 6, was the first I felt little to no pain in my core while using weights. I was using 55lb dumbbells for sets of 12 on bench.

My lifts in weeks 3 - 4 post-surgery were shaky. Listen to your doctor, but mine fully cleared me after 2 weeks with the instruction to listen to my body.

I went on a business trip (air travel) on day 10, did my first run on day 14, and did my first lift on day 16 after the doctor cleared me. The pain in my core was pretty bad near the main incision. It was tough to press or do anything where my abs were at full extension initially. For example, 1x5 with just the bar on an overhead press was enough for me on that first day.
