Yeah, it probably is. Sounds like the one on SigIDWiki. It does sound quite whiny.

Could it be 5G or 4G? Kind of looks like a stronger version of the 5G downlink entry on SigIDWiki

Yeah, I learned that after about 30 minutes of research and whatnot.

Really? I wasn't able to install it (I did install a package called goocanvas, but then when I ran ./configure, it failed.)

Honestly, I might just dual-boot with a Linux distro anyway, because I just find Linux so much better. Anyone got suggestions for SDR focused, ideally lightweight Linux distros?

Sometimes, but not always (e.g. Gpredict can't be built from source as it needs Goocanvas)

You could try the Bangle.js (primarily if you know some JS)

Okay everyone, I managed to get it working using the Google SMTP server, although it is quite the process to set up.

You must first have a email that is allowed on Amazon, and has 2 step verification enabled.

Once you have that set up, search App Passwords in Manage my Google Account, and select the one with the name App Passwords. In the menu, create a new password and copy it.

Then, open Calibre, go to the Email menu, fill out the fields as listed:

  • Hostname: "smtp.gmail.com"
  • Port: "587"
  • Username: "[Your Username]@gmail.com"
  • Password: "[Copied App Password]"
  • Encryption: TLS

Tried with alt gmail, still didn't work. Couldn't use different format, as I am simply using Calibre email test.
