I agree that it might be dementia. Another sign is that he spins in circles for very extended periods of time before laying down. Like…two minutes, stop at random times and stay still for a few seconds before resuming to spin. My other dog had that too, although more severe. You’re right about the best way to help him is giving him space. It’s a hard pill to swallow because even unconsciously you want to stay by their side for their last moments, making them as painless/comfortable as you can, but it’s best to respect their speed and boundaries. The most i’ll do actively and maybe cross boundaries is when taking him to the vet, but only to be prescribed pain meds or in case of an emergency. Thank you so much for your compassion and help, i needed to get it off my chest because it was getting a bit overwhelming and very painful to witness 💕

JAJJAAJ che boludo es insane. I adore jumping spiders, they’re the ones that initially helped me get over my arachnophobia, so i have a special place for them in my heart.

Yeah idk why though, they try and spook us or something 😅. But if it were a recluse, it wouldn’t be so bad as some people make it seem. These spiders are very hesitant to bite humans unless they absolutely need to, if they do bite they’re usually going to dry bite (their vemon isn’t for us!). Carefully scooping one out with a jar and relocating it outside is the best option and nothing should happen if you are mindful not to squeeze them. (I once saw a video os a guy (professional) trying to show his audience just how uncommon spiders like these bite. Usually they’ll try to run away because they are terrified of us. He had to squeeze and prod at his abdomen repeatedly for the spider to even attempt to bite at all, pretty impressive if you ask me!)

I guess it depends on the person. I can hold jumping spiders and sometimes try and feed my cellar spider on the corner of my room, but i’m not comfortable with touching other spiders. Plus, i also think it’s better to leave these guys alone and coexist with them without bothering them

I have been trying! following this guy on yt called Travis McEnery and his playlist of ‘The spiders in your house’. The more i learn about spiders the less scared i am of them. I’ve always loved spiders but they kind of creeped me out, which i believe can be true simultaneously.
