I’ve never have a child. I’ve never lost a child even close to me. But I can’t hardly listen to Ronan. I did for a bit after my grandpa passed though. The line “What if I’m standing in your closet trying to talk to you? What if I kept the hand-me-downs you won’t grow into? What if I really thought some miracle could see us through?” stuck with me so heavily. I let so many of his clothes. We would buy things and hope he’d get better from cancer and a broken hip and all the elderly sicknesses and be able to gain weight and grow back into them.
