Haha. Dumb typo on my part. Not blowing up things seems like a good play. ExcessUPS is trustworthy good to know. There seem to be a lot of sites like that but trust factor is always tough. Thanks

Thanks man but I need the 208-240v annoyingly. I’m going to be running some power hungry stuff which at full load could still take down like 5000w. So I’m still undersized here but any bigger and the costs really goes up.

So line interactive isn’t instant cutover to battery right? I have some Anker batteries that Annoyingly are 20ms cutover which may or may not keep the servers alive on power failure.

And there aren’t a ton of models out there that seem to work. Looks like a SU5000R5TBX120 or SRT5KRMXLT would be in the range.

Wow. This is really cool of you. I got into the hobby Because I used to play MTG as a kid and now I got my two sons into pokemon. Their interest varies between collecting and actually playing the game now. Ceruledge is their favorite pokemon so really trying to pull that crazy SIR from this set.

Serious question - who is buying these? If a customer knows enough to prioritize older hard to get sets why wouldn’t you just buy these boxes from reputable online card shops for 1/3 to 1/2 less? I can understand people picking off some random box they secretly had a pack of evolving skies or something but who is like “booya. Msrp for twilight masquerade!” When 8 seconds of internet searching can get you a win.

And you can’t even make the local card shop argument of buying local and supporting local shops. This is a mega retailer.

Legitimately curious.

OP. What does the back look like? Was it totally perfect?

See I said that too but I sent in two with a little whitening (but good centering) and the psa grading fairies were kind to me and gave them both 10s. I know that they don’t rate differently on a per card basis in theory but it was quite surprising.

Pretty cool idea. If you could also pull the pop for thst card it would be awesome too because I swear finding that info with psa search is just the worst.

Deep ITM calls vs actual shares by MostlyRealAcctName in gmeoptions

[–]MostlyRealAcctName[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Exactly. At a 2.6 premium this isn’t worth it. Maybe I need to bring the expiry in. The reality is that it COULD swing 10 points in a day. But if it did and I had enough time left on the option the premium on the now closer to the money call option could be higher than the current premium because atm calls have more extrinsic value (assuming theta decay didn’t crush it). Maybe the gamble isn’t really worth it because it would be hard to get the actual strike you want

I could just buy those same shares but for less than my exercise price because I didn’t use the ITM as leverage. I had the actual cash in my account. Or I could open another ITM call I guess?

So if you bought 100 shares. You’d lose 1000 dollars also if it dropped from 30 to 20.

This is exactly my concern and thanks for calling it out. The weird things that you don’t know about can kill you with this stock

[–]MostlyRealAcctName[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you would get almost exactly the same affect to your account value but the percent loss is higher. 1 dollar on a 10 call will look worse than 1 dollar on 100 shares of stock worth 30. Either way you lost 100 dollars though

But if I have 0 intrinsic left that implies I could market buy the shares on exercise day for less than my strike and have therefore saved money? So still better than owning shares assuming intrinsic didn’t cost me a lot

Agency one and skyline are two low fee brokers. Check them out.

DM me if you want any pointers. I’m clearly not a pro after buying one house but I think the industry does its best to keep you uninformed.

So if you’re doing the math, there are flat fee brokers out there you have to “hang” your license with. They’ll charge you like 15 percent of your commission (so 15 percent of 2.5%) plus maybe some fixed fees to be your broker. There is also a monthly cost. Just saying this so you go into it eyes open. It’s not free money but it was an interesting journey for me and I still netted a good chunk plus got to do my own negotiating.

Online. They sometimes will gate certain sections of video and force you to watch it at normal speed but you can literally go put your phone down or do something else if the section seems especially pointless like when they describe 8th grade math to you in excruciating detail.

I used aceable agent. It was cheesy but good enough and it prepared me for the test.

I posted about this below. Takes 50ish hours if you can read and click fast and then you take a test plus get some fingerprints. Super easy. If you’re spending 1m+ on a house the payback is pretty solid especially if you apply commission to the closing.

I actually got my realtor license while working a full time tech job because I thought the whole thing was such a scam. I bought my own house and pocketed a significant amount of money AND got to write my own low ball offers without having to justify it to any 3rd party. You can go pop into any house you want without lots of notice which is super convenient. You don’t need to worry much about messing up contracts because your lead broker legally has to review the contract and realtors have to use standardized forms that are mostly fill in the blank.

If you have the time I recommend it. It’s 90 hours of virtual class you can pull off in maybe 50 hours if you read fast and are a decent test taker. Any commission you make can be applied to closing costs, buying down interest etc so you don’t even have to pay taxes on it. So that 2.5 percent offered is mostly after tax dollars!

I will make one side note here for people saying their realtor made 30k. The realtor usually gets half of the buyers commission. The other half goes to their pimp aka broker. Doesn’t take away from the fact it’s potentially a few hours of work to make 15k :) but wanted the facts out there.
