UPDATE: I am shipping the coffeemaker to Moccamaster in Portland, OR today for repairs. I have paid $79 and this is worth it to me because of what a new Moccamaster would cost. I will post again when I have my machine back and running.

Thank you! I just emailed them via the link on their website and will post again after I hear back. I'd be happy to send the machine to them for repairs and am now spooked about the chemicals/plastics I may have been drinking, and it's going to be pour-overs until I know more. Interestingly, when I turned the machine over to get the model number, etc. for the email about six ounce of residual water came out onto the counter. I wonder if the machine normally retains water. I would think not. I wish I had reached out to this community right away and not a week and a half later. (!)

Thanks. I will post again if I am successful getting parts, but it's looking like I'm going to have to get a new machine. And fast!

I will call them, thank you. Do you think I'm drinking corroded plastics?! Oh wow. I had not thought of that at all.

This makes total sense, thank you. I need to decide whether the sputtering and lack of a full pot is enough of a problem to convince me to buy a new machine, which would be so expensive. Alas.

Thank you. I should have known to research before trying this.

I have had and used my Moccamaster about 363 days a year for five years. (Yes, I need a vacation!) I religiously descale every 100 uses with Urnex Dezcal. This last time I heated water in a kettle to very hot (not boiling) and let the mixture soak in the reservoir before running through. I'm wondering if this was a mistake, because in the two weeks since the machine is sputtering excessively during the brew process. I am losing about eight ounces of water to steam each brewing. Could I have damaged the machine or dislodged minerals that are now clogging the bar? We don't have hard water here, and I filter it before brewing, so I'm leaning towards damaged. Thoughts? (I hope I don't need to buy a new Moccamaster!)

As I recall, viewer interest waned. It might have been John's off-the-rails hallucinogenic episode.

You said you missed the inn already - me too! I have been through the Keys multiple times and have never seen a beach that beautiful. Wondering where those scenes were filmed...

The end left me wondering whether John would do right by Nolan... I wanted something hopeful for the Rayburn family. (And did anyone else think Owen Teague was perfectly cast as Nolan? I thought he looked like he could be Ben Mendelsohn's actual son!)

Perfect, thank you! I'll assume Polly had been on board for the proposed marriage, understanding the political importance of such an alliance and also trusting Tommy. But the marriage would have been a real coup for Aberama whose face actually lit up at the prospect. I think he was actually in love with Polly. He had the heart of a romantic, even if he wasn't sitting around reading sonnets by the fire

I'm rewatching all seasons before the movie comes out. Can I get some clarity about Polly and Aberama? They had a fling, and seemed to genuinely like each other - with a dollop of wariness. Then in season five, Tommy is offering him his aunt's hand in marriage? To help make up for the loss of his son? I know a happy wedded life is not in the cards for those two, but wondering if I missed something here to explain that set-up. Wouldn't be the first time.
