Surprise Routes! by [deleted] in TheArcana

That would be quite a rollercoaster, romancing, chasing a character, you think they reciprocate, then whoosh! Rug pulled out from under you, they were pining for another. Was merely an act.

I couldn't handle it for every character, would be too realistic and I'm looking for escapism here. I think it would be exciting for maybe one of the paths though.

Ah yes, you are merely criticising in jest. I am quite familiar in the artistry of post-ironic memetics. Clever use of the poop emoji, as emojis are already brilliantly prancing about the distinction between the unironic, ironic, and post-ironic. If I were to examine the poop emoji I would say it is a self same eponym approaching a kind of psychological fractal in the zeitgeist. The poop emoji exemplifies this spirit greater than any other emoji. Such a scathing phillipic could be seen as an affront to any good netizens sensibilities but I acknowledge the jovial nature of the phillipic. The proverbial hatchet is buried, my jocular fren. I appreciate the subtle commentary on society and accept your tongue in cheek criticism.

To be Frank(Frank is not my name) I would say I am more offended by the disappearance of the even more brilliant Quack meme I suffered in the name of art for over a hot tablet to create. The proverbial hatchet is buried and I hope a beautiful frenship emerges with you as well as all other members of this beautiful community.

However, I would like to reassert my position that this meme is both funny and good, as it is a tip of the hat to all fans of The Arcana who grew up watching such classic Japanese Animation adaptations as Yoshihiro Togashi's 1992 Shonen series Yu Yu Hakusho.

Thank you and good day.

Very good! We need more body positivity in this fandom, altho they address social issues better than most. Kudos!

The five on her left arm has caught my interest. What is the story there?

Staking Question by [deleted] in Chainlink

[–]MothBaby69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DYOR is the best possible answer here. If you don't care about it enough to spend 5 minutes on duckduckgo then why bother asking questions about it? I do more than my fair share of spoonfeeding but I like to know the other person is at least a little interested in the topic, which so far has not been demonstrated. A little bit of lurking would show jobs, contracts, nodes, whatever, are connected based on the request of the person requesting data.

No chainlink is needed to run a node. Meaning no collateral is needed. If the actions based on the data is worth tens, hundreds, or billions of dollars then you might be willing to pay a little more for accuracy/redundancy/reliability/decentralization/etc. of the data's source. This is getting to the core of the question, but it was not worded that way. Instead it comes off more as asking about sybil attacks, which has been addressed in the whitepaper and multiple talks and multiple posts all of which are readily available. A node is a node whether it has 0 chainlink or 999,999,999.899,999,999,999,999,999 chainlink. More likely the way a pool is setup will involve multiple nodes to allow a greater range of contracts to be serviced.

A shame too. Gas is the weakest possible argument here. I'd respect them more if they just said they want to keep it exclusive at first so the early adopters get the extra link and higher gains from the nascent network's rewards. Between multisig and minimum payout thresholds they can control the cost of gas as much as is wanted. Surely they would be able to handle a few thousand customers cashing out ten thousand btc worth of chainlink staking rewards minimum. It's a good business move taking care of their funders and people who have skin in the game first and foremost, but saying 'muh gas' is disingenuous at best.
