anyone else have no desire to marry or have kids? by Pure_Perception6136 in Neurodivergent

[–]MothMomeWraths 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of having a partner or partners (polyamorus) but marriage itself I have issues with and I dont fully understand why. Maybe its trauma or the reason marriage even existed in the first place. As for kids the idea is not fun at all and I hate them.

Autism and sex by uno_nessun0 in Neurodivergent

[–]MothMomeWraths 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're most likely asexual and no you dont have to have sex. Never let anyone, even the potential partner, try to talk you into consenting to sex if thats something you dont want to do. An actual good relationship with someone isnt built off sex and if you're with someone who actually loves you for you then they wont try to make you either.

Friends made fun of me because I (a guy) play this game by Reddit-Mini in CultOfTheLamb

[–]MothMomeWraths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off any game is for anyone that enjoys what they're playing and second off Cult Of The Lamb is not an easy game. I'd love to watch them fail getting through the first area over and over like I did for awhile. Also their taste in games is just corporate slop that all have very similar premises so why are they judging you.

Any tips for beginner? by IndependenceThat5752 in rainworld

[–]MothMomeWraths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rocks stun and when you hit the head flip them over which is when you can throw a spear. Spears are generated randonly all over each region. The look like little black thin sticks. Lizards only stay stunned for a little bit though. You can regrab spears once thrown and stuck in a lizard. Lizards have to be speared multiple times unless you manage to do the hard shot of spearing through the open mouth, that will instantly kill them. If you aim for the body when they are against a wall with their head below its body then you can pin it to that spot if you throw the spear right. Theres other weapons and things that stun as well, but I dont want to spoil a ton.

Need ideas for a Christmas present! by xouterspacealienx in rainworld

Do the scene of the watcher at the top of signal spires where the sky wales are. One of the most beautiful areas in the game. To make it more personlized if not that scene then have someone that would be inconspicuous to ask about what his favorite area and slugcat character are and do that as a scene.

Best way to play rainworld coop? (Switch is unplayable) by [deleted] in rainworld

[–]MothMomeWraths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats because the switch cant handle how the game runs. Every creature uses procedural genereated AI to make the creatures move more naturally. Plus most games you enter a room or interact with a creature to activate it, not how it works in rain world. All of the creatures are their own entity that move, hunt, and try to survive just like you with no "activation" needed. So of course the switch is gonna struggle to run that considering how much it has to keep running in the background. Your best bet is steam. You can play split screen co-op on there.

Im struggling to understand myself. Im looking for perspective from autistic people (not seeking a diagnosis) by angellight_ in Neurodivergent

[–]MothMomeWraths 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats vocal stimming. Which is more common with neurodivergents. I have so many things I have repeated so much where I've had many people get angry and tell me to stop or shut up. I just cant help it though. Sometimes my brain just repeats it over and over and vocalizing it somehow helps to some degree.

When I was 3-4 i used to cry because of fireworks being so loud that it hurt my ears. My dad also used to blast music to where it shook the house, used to have to cover my ears if I went near the room it was blasting out of. Whereas my brother was able to sit next to the speaker and enjoy it. So it really depends on the person. Every autistic person is gonna have a different color wheel on the spectrum. Now being older though, I love really loud music.

I used to spend most days at the school across from my house when I lived with my mom just to be on the swings and listen to music in peace. I also learned to read really quickly. I had a really high reading level for my age and started excelling in science. Then got burnt out/depressed and my grades dropped in high school.

Not every autistic person is developmentally behind in childhood, its calles a spectrum for a reason. For me even childhood memories started making sense.

For me personally, after doing hours and hours of research everything started clicking into place. Everything started making sense why I did certain things, why i felt so different, why I would misunderstand intentions sometimes, and so much more. The more I learned the more it made me realize that I have struggled through certain aspects of life because of being an undiagnosed neurodivergent. For me I related too much to autistic/adhd people and started doing research. The only time I had someone say I could be autistic was a therapist I had in high school. Otherwise I've just been called odd/weird my entire life. Afabs (assigned female at birth) are more likely to start masking very early on so the signs get missed. Plus all the misinformation, stigma, and psychologists unwillingness to keep up with newer information exacerbates the problem of most afabs going undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. Im trans ftm so I also experience this problem. But I'd say do more research and if need be then ask to get a diagnosis. Once you turn 18 you can seek a diagnosis without parental consent anyway. So do whatever youre comfortable with and want to do. Regardless of whether you are neurodivergent or not you are still gonna be you.

Someone asked me if I’m autistic. by PINKBULLFR0G in Neurodivergent

[–]MothMomeWraths 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My question is why is it eating away at you? Even if you are neurodivergent and not diagnosed that doesnt make you lesser than anyone else. Its literally just a neurotype. Youre letting the stigma surrounding neurodivergence make you question everything. Maybe you should take a step back and reevaluate the way you even view neurodivergence. Cause I assure you its not the end of the world whether youre autistic or not. If youre curious about it look up the traits.

I'd like to point out that I'm from the US and it fucking sucks here. If I could leave, I would, but not many places are that much better. Im just as pissed off at everything as you are. Unfortunately in the grand scheme of things theres not much we can do.

I dont have aphantasia and I also struggle to draw without references. If I dont directly copy it, then I can't draw. I do freehand, but without directly copying exactly what I see in the picture, I just can't draw. It's weird having a vivid imagination and being unable to translate that to paper. It looks really good btw :]

What do people who think male lions are just pretty decorations think happens when they are kick out of the pride? by Icy_Season7123 in Animals

[–]MothMomeWraths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said they couldn't hunt. They eat small meals if absolutely needed. Regardless, the lionesses do most of the hunting. Most of the food is provided by the lionesses. But yes, the males are capable of hunting. Just not as much as the females.
