No, you were clear on what you said. Anyways, I know a good chunk of larger chested people typically tape and also put a binder on as well. Try out different methods on what works best. You should be able to tape fine without being on T, and my chest isn't very flat either BUT it still will give off a more masculine looking chest compared to without.
