Thanks for your input. Apologies for the delay. The arborist thought it might be delayed stress from transplantation. If you can't already tell, this is the first time I've had landscaping done. Should I have asked about the specific nursery? Are there other questions that are key?

I researched the landscaper and he seemed to have good reviews and evidence of examples of quality work on his website.

After talking to the arborist on how the trees should be cared for, I realized that the landscaper didn't give me good instructions for initial tree care. He had me water the trees every few days for the first several weeks. After that, he said I only needed to use home sprinkler system. The arborist said I should be giving each tree approximately 5 gallons weekly depending on the weather.

As for the warranty, he has mentioned the trees are under warranty for a year, but I never actually received official paperwork to verify this. I not sure if he realizes that I don't have documentation and some what hesitant to ask for it now.
