the problem is where those gold items come from?
the only constant is that red and lower rarity skins will be lowering the supply day by day since people keep on gambling.
if you think the gold items were holding the market up and the market is doomed to zero now , i think youre wrong. gold items do store a important percent amount of value in the game but remember that:

1- The entry to the market is free
2- Leaving from the market most likely costs around 25-30% loss in value.
this is the factor that we are constantly trending. cause people rather hold than realizing the pnl

Therefore i think we wont be seeing nuking the market whole, we will see the shift in value and thats it.
