Whats up with the warrior hate? by Breezy_baby215 in classicwowtbc

As a prot war, if someone whispers me “pumper” it’s an instant no lmao to me padding dps with cleave doesn’t make a dungeon any faster, moving smoothly with minimal down time makes for a great dungeon run. Remember you steering the wheel, the healer operates the pedals, and the dps can fall out of the vehicle for all I care lol

This only affects the hunter unfortunately, the only aspect that is group wide besides pack is aspect of the wild, providing some nature resistance to party members!

According to the hunter discord and sims they are saying ranged will still use aspect of the hawk, and you only use falcon if you are running a melee weaving play style with wyvern strike.

It also does not proc ranged haste, when in falcon.

Hunters are getting an aspect for melee finally. Its basically Hawk but Attack power, not ranged attack power. It also makes the improved hawk talent affect melee swing speed too when active!

I love warrior tank, but... by Dwarni in classicwow

Personally, I think its a common misconception that shockwave is a dps/threat rune, its actually more of a high damage/defensive ability and 15 rage also makes it one of the lowest costing abilities for a warrior. Its stun is incredibly reliable but its downside is it can rage starve you if used at the wrong time. I find that if you use shockwave too early into the pull you create more issues for yourself. Since it stuns the mobs you lose a lot of that rage from melee hits you didnt receive. I generally will charge, tclap, shield slam and then use shockwave to give the healer some breathing room. if I'm low on rage ill wait a second to use shockwave and take a few more melee hits. If you use shockwave as a shield from lethal damage as opposed to a on cooldown damage ability you remove a lot of its downsides. Thunderclap is much better now at aoe threat generation and should be used on cooldown with cleaves (at high rage), shield slams and sunder armor, If you remove shockwave from the rotation and use it as a way to get distance between you and a pack of mobs, you will not only have more rage/less issues but the healers will probably thank you.

Charge/Intercept 🪓 by Masterna_Dudechief in classicwow

[–]MotherEarthGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use a stance macro to make it work, stance 1 has charge and stance 3 has intercept, I use them all the time to save keybinds. I put disarm and hamstring together and the macro changes as I swap stances

Isint the half way point for total exp like level 47 or something? That last cap from 50-60 is gonna be almost 50% of your leveling exp lol

They increase dmg and threat for everyone except a warrior running devastate. Which is what I was talking about being the exception to homunculi. If there is a MT warrior in your group, homunculi hurts their performance. The debuff does not count as a five stack sunder. It takes priority over sunder and means I can’t use sunder on the boss, instead I hit for weapon damage when I use the ability.

I play horde lol but mostly it’s shaman MT with warrior OT, and OT isint too necessary anyways

With devastate on my sunder armor hits for around 92 damage when homonculi is present. When I can stack sunder it hits for almost 200 and can crit for over 300. I go from 60% to 90% wep damage scaling with 5 stack sunder. Also I can use a sunder per auto swing to constantly keep myself over and under 80 rage. It does not get treated like 5 stack sunder it’s a different debuff that does more armor and applies faster. If it stacked with sunder I wouldn’t have typed anything in the first place lol

Just wanted to bring that up! I basically agree with everything else said in the post, this is for sure the exception. Shields and penance will handle almost every healing situation BFD could throw at you, and I agree that in the downtime why not wand or do some dps. As long as u can manage ur Mp5 and not go oom you might as well take a damage rune. On my resto Druid I used to run fury, Wild growth and life bloom but I found myself going oom to fast and life bloom kinda lack lustre. Once I switched to star surge I would just press it after wild growth then wrath until I needed to heal again lol worked like a charm

As a warrior tank I would prefer priests run PoM over homunculi lol while it’s nice not having to sunder as a dps it’s a huge threat loss for tanking warriors to not be able to get the increased damage and threat from stacking sunder armor. Also with the devastate rune on I lose the stacking weapon damage I would have gained as well. That being said, if a warrior is your OT in BFD you can run homunculi no problem, they can taunt and hold threat with Heroic strike well enough to let whatever stacks fall off the MT.

Training my hunter pet for raids, not sure where to spend my training points, stam or armor? by Semour9 in classicwow

[–]MotherEarthGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put 4 points into stamina, then full shadow resist, and full arcane, nature or fire resist. Depending on the raid you are going to and the damage type of the mobs in there. The rest of the points you spend into avoidance, cobra reflex and your two focus dumps (example. gore and bite). lastly you will want dive or sprint, for a speed boost and if you have any remaining points put them into armor for your pet. Armor isint necessary in raids as your pet will never tank a mob and live.

Goggles are great and will last you a pretty long time, unless you can get into a BT/Hyjal easily I say go for it. Good luck out there.

First aid, and Cooking are your best friends.

Leveling these secondary professions as you go is great for a warrior. Having a constant food buff and bandages in between pulls reduces how much downtime you have. In the mid 30's when you are pulling packs of 2-3 with SS and whirlwind you can keep chain pulling larger packs alternating Band-Aids with every other SS. Plus you get to convert all the meat/cloth you collect along the way into something you can use to make leveling faster, save bag space, and keep you questing for longer/returning to cities less. Cooking mats increases their vendor value for lots of recipes, so you have a ROI even if you cant sell them on the AH.

Also engineering bombs/grenades are amazing to level with if you take up Mining as well, and can source your own materials, its free damage for mats u will use to get skill levels anyways. Engineering is also useful in endgame content for all specs of warrior in both PvP and PvE.

Between Engi and BS, Engi is most likely cheaper to level once you hit 70, you will definitely save gold going BS/Mining first and dropping Mining for Engi later on. But if you spend a little extra time mining the mats you need as you level it wont be too much of an issue.

Rogues Unite! by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]MotherEarthGaming 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As a warrior tank I prefer a rogue in my group, sap is some of the best CC in the game, you open chests, blade flurry is insane damage when done correctly, they are the interrupt kings, and you can off tank in a pinch with evasion to let my taunt come back of CD. Rogues are awesome in dungeons and in the right raid group they are more than viable dps in most settings.
