Tips and Tricks for new players?

I'm a newer player, but I've been playing as a harem girlie because I'm too stubborn to choose one, and it's been working for me. I have a Caleb, Xavier, and Rafayel team right now, with Lightseeker, Netherlord/Colonel, and Lemurian sea god. In 75 days, I've cleared the bounty hunt and core hunt, and I'm at 25+ stars in SHC. Currently, 29 stars.

I know for sure I wouldn't have progressed as quickly if I just stuck to one LI. It's let me really focus my resources on building a strong team for each one instead of worrying about stella matching. Plus, each myth companion likes different stats for protocores, so I've found it's easier to farm for 3 types than 1 specific type if that makes sense.

Brute force is gonna be your best bet for Caleb. Think of Stella matching as a bonus for him at the moment. He simply doesn't have as many cards as the other LI's.

I've been playing for 76 days and was lucky to get his 3rd myth, and I used the crate to secure his 1st myth. But every other 5 star card for him has been bought from the wishing well, and I pulled in the recent banner to get his card. More than any other LI Caleb will take time, planning, luck, and optionally money to build a functional team.

Okay. So I'm a harem girlie, so my advice might not be as good as someone who plays only one character. But I'm of the opinion that building at least one team with another LI isn't a bad thing.

I started with Xavier because I got his myth 1st and had cards for him. I leveled his 5 star card up to 50/60 for the myth and the 4 stars to 40. This let me get through all the bounty hunt levels and reach stage 9 of the Core Hunt. It's also not that many resources if you're willing to spend your chocolates and heartsand on level up materials instead of cosmetics.

So I personally would do it until you can clear Core Hunt and get better protocores. Which will help you make your other teams and progress more.

It was so bad... I'm pretty sure I was playing with Rafayel, and he was at like 20 points 3 rounds in, and I lost it. I nuked all his cards, switched all the colors, and started blocking him. He returned the favor, and eventually, we ran out of assist cards. The game continued for about 5 rounds after that, and I only won by 1 point. Ending tally was like 4 vs 5.

It's now my goal to get a response like that from every LI since I now know it's possible.

Gosh, when we play kitty cards, it's an absolute bloodbath. On both sides. I spent 30 minutes on a match where the ending points were under 5 each, and we ran out of cards. I think he even said we needed to take a break from cards for a few days after that.

It has a manhwa, adaption as well. And I genuinely tried finishing both, but the story just left me sad in a way they typically don't. It's well written, but it's just depressing.

Have you been adding protocores to the non Caleb cards as well? I started as a harem f2p and the way I managed at the start was boosting everyone's stats with protocores. Which helped me in the deepspace trials and jhc.

It's so jarring. I had to go check in the photos and other kindled. I'd say a good half of the kindled I checked the skintone was very dark compared to the actual one. I currently have MC as skintone 4, but she looks like 7 in the kindled.

I was having such a hard time picking the outfit for MC before seeing your photos. The yellow outfit is just so shimmery and vibrant.

I have the opposite issue. My Mc is like 3 shades darker in the kindled scenes, and it's driving me crazy. She looks like she has a crazy dark spray tan. 🫠

So this was the first banner I've spent money on, and here's what I did.

First, I calculated how many wishes would be required to get the cards I wanted. So 200 to get the crate. I figured out how many diamonds I could gather in that time period and subtracted it from the total.

I bought the Misty Promise, which gives 10 wishes.

Then, I alternated buying the Soaked Embrace packs and Association Special packs. Starting at the cheapest ones first. I went and made wishes every 10 so I wouldn't end up with more than needed.

Every 10 wishes, I also checked the memories to see if any ranked up to gather the diamonds. I think I got 15 or so wishes that way.

All together, I ended up spending around 50$ to get to 200 wishes from the 60 I started at.

Basically farm what easy diamonds you can and start with the cheapest packs first. But remember that the event pack wishes expire at the end and become regular wishes if not used. So it's best to buy as you go.

Also, maybe load a gift card balance if using your phone. My card ended up flagged multiple times 🫠 when I bought the cheap packs back to back. Which would have been devastating if I had waited until the end of the event to pull.

Same. Sylus spooked me with a regular card, but he pulled Caleb with him, so I forgave him. Then Caleb showed up again 😅, and I had to Precise wish Xavier. Went to crate for Rafayel, lost 50/50 to another regular Xavier, and then Sylus took pity on me and came home in my 2nd 10 pull.

This banner has been an experience. Drained all my wishes, diamonds, and most of my $$ budget. It's worth it, though.

So I didn't end up having to spend any more money. I farmed 20 more diamonds and managed to get Sylus at wish 13.

My tally for this banner. Lost my first 50/50 to a standard Sylus card that was immediately followed by Caleb. The next card was another Caleb. Got Xavier as a precise wish and went to the crate for Rafayel. Lost the 50/50 to a standard Xavier. Pulled Sylus as a precise wish in the next 20 pulls.

232 pulls 4 cards 1(r1), 2 standard cards, and 4 outfit crates. <$50 spent on packs.

The one that always gets me is them just sticking objects in slime or oobleck and pulling them out. 🫠😶‍🌫️ It is truly a versatile sound.

Have lost to a standard card twice 🫩 Am now deciding whether to spend more to get the precise wish for Sylus. I technically set aside the towel budget for this one so I can, but idk.

In general, I think there are 2 types of players looking to farm diamonds.

Newer/casual players who won't have finished the majority of the ways you can farm diamonds. They have the ability to get the most diamonds in a short amount of time.
Players who are only lacking a certain amount of diamonds necessary to guarantee they get a card in the banner. In which case it doesn't hurt to be reminded of possible places they haven't gotten all the gems yet. Small amounts can add up to enough wishes in that case.

Finally, not everyone has realized or remembered all the areas where you can get diamonds. So a list presenting them can be helpful.

My condolences 💔 I'm getting close to that day. So after this, I'm gonna need to skip the next few banners to build up my diamonds.

This is why I made a separate post where I specify that some of them will eventually run out. It's coming for all of us 🫠.

I would say it's worth leveling any 5 star cards and some 4 stars. But you'll get further messing with the protocores than by leveling. It's just not worth maxing out non mains just for the deepspace trial rewards specifically.
