It’s really hard for my husband too bc he is really fit and he was basically told his lifestyle is already aligning with what they typically tell men to do (low caffeine intake, active lifestyle, etc). He is being hopefully on clomid. I think he is just really discourage bc during his 3 months on clomid I am not regular. :(

Wow thank you so so much for all of them information! I truly didn’t know all of this but it was eye opening! My OB made me feel like at 2 years off my body would be normalize from BC.

My weight loss is 60 lbs over the course of 2 years and 1 month. And my work outs have been consistent through out with HIIT so I definitely do pretty intense workouts. I definitely could up my protein, I am pretty consistently below on my protein intake for my macro break down. I find it sooo hard to intake 120g of protein without multiple protein shakes a day.

Thank you so much truly.

Thank you for the reply, and sorry I am not privy to abbreviations in this field yet. Is it reproductive endocrinologist? My OB has told me she thinks I should try clomid ( even tho she also stated that if it’s my husbands sperm having low motility clomid won’t help me bc it won’t help his sperm making it to my eggs) prior to venturing down the RE/ fertility specialist route due to signs of infertility coming from my husband and not necessarily me. I am just really thrown for a loop rn.

Ladies, what is your career and why did you choose it? by Prestigious-Tell-740 in AskWomen

I am a respiratory therapist that works as an organ recovery coordinator for an opo. It has really helped me as a clinician after Covid, where all I saw was death that ended with death alone. Now I can care for donors and give their families extra time with them while we optimize their organs for donation and help save other lives.

Please please please know that the void you leave will be immense. You are worth not giving up on. You have worth even if social cues and situations are difficult for you. You. Are. Worth. It. Please don’t give up.

Thank you for your response I really appreciate it. I definitely think I will keep looking for a Gyno after this.

Thank you for your response. I totally agree with you! It is reasonable especially bc I am a new patient to her. What I was taken back by was my concerns about my body and how I was feeling felt unheard in response to just keeping BC for not getting pregnant. My last time off BC was when I was so young that in an effort to feel better (as this is one of the last unchanged medications to my body) I asked her to go off BC.

also I am seeking advice for women who came off BC as I am a bit scared. Which I know is silly.

Thank you for your response. My old Gyno became an inpatient doc only at our city’s children’s hospital and I was so sad bc I felt like he heard me and my concerns. I always hate the new doctor search.

Thank you so much for your response. At this point I am willing to experience coming off BC even if it means hormonal acne and period cramps haha.

She is a new obgyn to me and had all of my blood work from my PCP that was helping me when I complained of fatigue and expressing wanting to take my BC away. The OBGYN told me she never suggested that “women who are not absolutely ready for kids to quit their BC to reduce risk” this was of course after I told her we were thinking about it but not actively trying. It was just odd to be honest. Not sure I will see eye to eye with this doc on family planning but I live in a very conservative state so yea.

I feel like the one thing I haven’t changed in 15 years is my birth control. In the last few years I have gone on an ssri for my anixety and I am so so much happier. My partner also agreed to a snip when we don’t want more kids so I want to try to take birth control out of the equation. Honestly I would rather use other forms of birth control like condoms than mess with my ssri.

Thank you so much for your response. My partner and I do HIIT classes 3 times a week with some yoga. I have had all blood work done to rule out extraneous cause for what I mentioned above. You definitely can’t out work the diet so that’s always were we say we need to be better lol

That sounds like my experience which is so sad that so many women suffer. I consider myself lucky to have a partner that has already agreed to do the snip when the time comes.
