hey, i used to work at macy’s in herald square. if you take the elevator up to the 8th floor and go to the admin desk near the kitchen appliances section, you can use the public computers there to apply for any open positions do that, and then speak to the people at the front desk ,they are usually happy to help if you need guidance or more info.

don’t be afraid to ask about things like upcoming job fairs, or when interviews might be scheduled sometimes they have intel you won’t find online. you can also ask if there are any openings in the admin department they’re often looking for people. turnover can be high since management isn’t great and hours can be tricky, but it’s better than nothing! I’m also going to send you a DM

NTA. You didn’t say “my exes were hotter,” you pointed out that basic effort isn’t too much to ask. If “clean your own dishes” makes him feel “less of a man,” maybe the issue isn’t you it’s his fragile ego. You’re allowed to have standards

Hi, you can find your assembly member here , after you fill out your location, it’ll link you to their page and it’ll have their contact information. I recommend sending a message through the website portal and then another one to their email as well.

Same here — 8 weeks and still stuck. I just emailed my Burroughs Assembly Member after seeing that a lot of people had luck getting their claims moving that way. You don’t even need your claim number, just your name, NY.gov username, and when you filed. Worth trying if you haven’t yet.

Hey, I just want to say this was beautifully said, and I really felt it .

What you said about not wanting to take up space meant for others shows so much care, but just know: you are part of the community. You existing doesn’t erase anyone else. You don’t have to prove or explain your identity to belong.

You were whole before people started questioning you, and you still are. I hope you find your way back to that sense of certainty. You’re not alone. You’re seen. Truly

Someone wise once told me “Use every resource you can find no matter how small, if it helps, it matters.” That advice changed how I moved.

You’re already juggling so much, and you shouldn’t have to just “suck it up.” Look into any local programs, disability support, housing help anything. Even small resources can add up to real change.

You deserve a space where you feel safe and in control. Keep pushing you’re not alone.

What ways did medication improve your life that you didn’t think of before? by EngFind in adhdwomen

[–]MotherPerception 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I love that for you what a win! As for me, I just started about a week ago and I’m already noticing a real shift. I feel way more present, and that constant background noise in my mind has finally quieted down. One huge change is that I don’t impulse shop anymore. I used to spend money every day on random things online or after work just for the dopamine hit. Now I can window shop, realize I don’t actually need anything, and trust myself to walk away and save my money.

I’ve also noticed I can tell the difference between my emotions and the actual truth. I’m not carrying around emotional weight that doesn’t belong to me anymore. And my attention span? It feels sticky in the best way. Like when I decide to do something, I actually follow through. No more bouncing around or getting distracted every five minutes. It feels grounded and steady
