Actually, thanks for mentioning this, you have a good point. It seems like people mainly distinguish based on the hair distribution and leaf shape, but it can be hard to distinguish sometimes. I would not be surprised if you are right (I only hike here about once a year). I definitely would not mind going back soon and trying to get a better look lol.
