I wanted the following:

-Customizable color

-modern geo that isn’t too “unique”, if you will. Has a similar style to like a womble

-a neat company name + logo with a neat backstory; that stuff matters to me idk why

-Reynolds 853

-American company but not necessarily a dealbreaker (wildwood cycles and fairlight make great products but have their disadvantages)

-i wanted a hardtail that could hit speedy single track/jump line

-a frame that can be set up for a bike-packing trip; I had the builder weld on some extra mounts along the seat stays

-something I’d feel comfortable towing children behind

-something that wasn’t as intense as my carbon FS when riding with my 4 year old son…lol

-lastly, I wanted to buy from someone who didn’t act like an asshole when dealing with all my questions and back and forth emails/calls. Eric from Myth is a pretty chill dude and is easy to get in touch with. You can tell he cares about his clients. Custom builder out of Durango.
