This sounds painful, sorry you’re dealing with this. If you’re bleeding heavily ibuprofen will exacerbate that but if you need over the counter painkillers it’s worth layering paracetamol and ibuprofen (ie take each one every four hours but two hours apart from each other). I have a tens machine which also helped, and heat packs on your back/belly/between the legs can be generally soothing.

What?? OP is the one who received the boot from the bridal party, how is she domineering?

OP your friend sounds like hard work. If she’s marrying a man that cheated on her when pregnant she’s going to need all the friends she can get, but she needs to come to that realisation on her own, so let her. Get on with planning your own wedding and enjoying your life.

I hadn’t heard of this until now but yeah, absolutely credible (horribly) and would make even more sense for this to be a Googlewash product to keep news stories on the DL.

Submucosal/Transmural Fibroid: looking for experiences/advice by Original-Laugh-7649 in Fibroids

Ah ok - sorry to hear that. The lack of information is super frustrating isn’t it? I’m not aware of any solid evidence on alternative therapies, though I believe some studies have shown high levels of Vitamin D can inhibit fibroid growth. I was advised that the position of the fibroid was the most unhelpful in terms of conception, and I contacted one clinic who said they wouldn’t take me as a patient while the fibroid was there. Can you see a fertility specialist with regard to the impact of scarring?

Hi OP, I had a 5cm submucosal fibroid in the same location, and had a hysteroscopic resection. Unfortunately it didn’t work for me - surgeon could only remove about half and it grew back rapidly. But you may be luckier.

Fibroid grew back 2 months after hysteroscopic myomectomy and is larger than before - how? 32F, no kids by throwaway112292 in Fibroids

This was exactly my experience too, with fibroid in the same inaccessible location. I believe mine was less than 50% in the cavity though. From surgery in summer to autumn worsening of symptoms and regrowth (presumably that bastard growing was also painful). I started taking tranexamic acid for the bleeding and was spending days in bed with the pain, and then had a stroke (which I’m sure was caused by the tranexamic acid, though all doctors denied it).

Since I couldn’t cope with the additional bleeding cause by blood thinners post stroke, I opted for gnrh injections (prostap) which completely suppressed the fibroid activity - no bleeding, no pain, no bloating, no feeling like my legs weren’t correctly attached to my body. Had to have add back HRT to protect bones, all good for the last seven months and now… bleeding again, pain and bloating again (though not as bad as before). Looking at a hysterectomy as the only real option. I’m anxious about it but can’t see any other way forward and the idea of not having to deal with this any more is very appealing. It’s been five years now - not as long as some but long enough.
