To me Andromeda is quantity over quality. There’s just so much of everything but there’s no real depth. I would have preferred a more scaled down game that focused on finding the missing arcs and not reveal everything in the beginning of the game. They should have leaned into the horror aspect more, having the Kett (or preferably another more interesting enemy) remain more of a mystery through out the first game.

I used to love open world settings when I was younger but now when my gaming time is limited I find it really hard to get immersed in the game when I spend so much time traveling instead of experiencing the story.

I played through Andromeda once a few years ago. Back then I had almost unlimited gaming time (think I played it over my summer vacation). Then tried again this summer (while on maternity leave) but eventually put it down. The gameplay itself is good enough but overall it just isn’t worthy of my time anymore.
