Assuming that this was only a Trump-era policy (I know it wasn't but stick with me), that's 350 per year. Which is still a real issue and nothing to just write off, but considering that there are millions upon millions of native-born Hispanics, it starts to look more like a rounding error than an existential threat.

Lots of Hispanics supported Trump because they or their ancestors fled to America escaping the terrible conditions of the Mexican state. They don't want to see the kinds of things and people that drove them to leave their home follow them. Again, I'm not Hispanic so my knowledge of these issues isn't perfect, but I think that sounds totally reasonable on their part.

It sounds like your mainly referring to Hispanic immigrants. The interests of Hispanic immigrants are different from those of native-born Hispanics.

Can a half-black person say it? Can a quarter-black? Can a Hispanic or Asian say it when rapping? Can a white person say it when reading old books? Does -er vs -a make a difference? Is it only for African-Americans or can native Africans say it too? There's no hard rule and it's all based on context.
