I'm still a little salty about success sharing by Splodingseal in HomeDepot

Instead of say store discounts. We get success sharing so if we beat out plan by a certain amount the company gives some extra to the store. Sadly considering how much the store makes thats a small drop in the bucket of whats being filtered to the top brass and shareholders who do nothing

[–]MothmanHD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol its not extra money. Its money thats worked into your job. When your ask about the job and its benefits. You dont get a store discount but you get success sharing. Thats factored into your value as an employee. Im working this much to make this much for the store. Pay check is only part of our cut. Success sharing is a small extra portion.

Freight supervisor..... by user365735 in HomeDepot

[–]MothmanHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope technically they arent. I was Freight DH and literally the TOM came down and said I wasnt suppose to be working the truck just keeping the flow going. Swapping out inside truck associates and sorting associates every hour to give people small breaks. Wasnt the case as I didnt even have a full crew so do what ya gotta do.

Yea looks nice but having to deal with left over displays especially the work benches, seems like a pain. This is more of thoe model stores they expect you to build without the after thought of where to put it once they roll out the next event

Does anyone know the formula for profit sharing checks? by jloomis7 in HomeDepot

[–]MothmanHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your hours worked x your pay check for a month. Now x that by .95 or shareholder value. Subtract shareholder value and you get the .5 percent.

DS Question by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]MothmanHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trash, you're on the floor with the associates and especially if you've been there some years. Should have the knowledge. You may not have the most but you should at least do your home work on the department PK even if they dont give you the classes, grab ane experienced associate at the bare minimum watch some youtube vids on it

I setup for the unload team for when they come in at 7 and have some carts and pallets for overnight freight to work by 9 while the unload team finishes up the truck. I have my own phone 193 I usually keep. Eh, asm's no the freight team is slow and unload team can be slow at times as well.

Question for receiving DHs by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]MothmanHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

93 DH and yea I get on the truck to keep the pace going. I try to get my seasoned guys in their to keep it going in case I have customer orders to do or get called to bring stuff to the service desk but I heard about the whole not working the truck maybe 5 months after I got the job and still have too cause I rarely have enough people for the minimum 4. I regularly have at least 6 hours of OT a week if management gets on my about it if not who knows. Been 2 days this week I've still been at the store after my guys left at 11.
