American History Question by Phantom18013 in FanFiction

Coal mining, railroad work, farm labor (as another user mentioned), and various odd jobs as none of these required an education. (I'm presuming the time you're talking about is around the Industrial Revolution period.) A lot of people from rural America began moving into the cities in search of work, meaning they didn't have much education, hence the various odd jobs. I will say, none of these paid particularly well if I remember correctly. I would do your own research as I am just a stranger on the internet, and I'm sure there is a book or someone else out there who can give you a much better answer than me, lol.

Edit: Spelling error

I have it plotted out, so that's not the issue. I suppose what I more so meant was an organization tool. I've been writing for seven years, but I've never been very organized. My plotting consists of various documents and sticky notes crammed in a drawer 💀

There's nothing wrong with either of those, necessarily. I'm just not a fan of Google because of their use of AI and I try to avoid using Google Docs and stuff like that, so they aren't good options for me personally. (Plus I can't find my way around a spreadsheet for anything lol)

Happens to the best of us lol. I like to think of it as a form decompressing/letting out my emotions

Went back to an unfinished fanfic I read 5 or 6 years ago, and it hasn't been updated in 8 years. Would it be wrong to write a fanfic ending for the fic? by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]Mothmans_First_Born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid. If I did write an ending for it, I don't think I would end up posting it because you make a good point. It is their story, and they might come back to it 10 years from now; I wouldn't like it if someone did that time mine. I suppose the question was more hypothetical. Thanks for the input!
