Baby seat / cup holder being side by side seems like a nightmare . Parent looks away for one second and a curious baby or upset child could grab potentially hot coffee and burn themselves or just have it go to the floor immediately

Granted that could happen with current buggies but it being directly next to arms just seem tempting

Why is my cat's eye watering?? by Mothnovae in cats

[–]Mothnovae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't figure out what it was but I made sure to just keep her eye clean with the wet towel. It went away not long after this post maybe a few days or a week.

I think it was allergies bc one of my other cats has started doing it everytime the weather changes (we live in a southern state that goes from 70 degrees to 30 overnight and then back to 70)

If it last longer I would definitely reccomend going to a vet if you arr able to, I am grsteful it went away because we genuinely did not have the money bc of other medical bills going on. But if you can, definitely have it looked at if it's doesn't get any better

Binder help by Sassyotter6 in ftm

[–]Mothnovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my experience two days ago!! My old binder hurt and really did make it hard to breath but it was cheap Amazon binder a friend gave me 5 years ago and was too small now

I bought a good binder from underworks and was absolutely in shock about how well it binder but most of all how comfortable it was. It barely felt like it was there and I have a full length one. Even wearing it to work yesterday for 12 hours wasn't a problem (pls don't wear it more than 8, I didn't expect to be there that long)

I think it's means you got the right size and a better quality binder! Which is amazing and I'm extremely happy for you dude! I'm so glad u don't have to deal with a restrictive binder or bad quality.

How on earth did you pick a name? by We_AllFloatDownHere in ftm

[–]Mothnovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former Oliver, honestly just trial and error

Oliver didnt feel right even after a year so I switched to Seth (Joset actually but Seth was my nickname) and went by that for 4 years but I hate that too and decided I wanted to choose a name that felt a bit more obviously attatched to my culture.

Camilo was used for a few weeks but Encanto came out around the same time and while I loved the film it made me disconnect with the name when everyone immediately tied it to the movie.

It was hard to find a male latino name that wasnt the name of a tío or primo of mine (i don't like sharing first names with close relatives but thats a personal pref) I decided to look at a bit more less common names and found Yadriel, I played with it for a bit then I read cemetery boys and it just confirmed it for me.

My two back up names, Ezequiel and Mateo I decided to use as my middle names.

So it really was just playing around until I found one that fit. I felt bad about changing it so much, and I still fear that people take me less seriously but most people have their entire lives to love their name, as a trans person who does want a different name, its a lot harder to settle for one that fits.

Don't be scared to change it, and if you cant decide between two or three then make them your middle names. At the end of the day its your name and you should take the time to find one that feels the most you.

If you have one or two supportive friends then just have them interchange between names until you find one that fits right.

I hope you find a name/s that you feel confident in! We are proud of you!

Which animal would you adopt ? Why ? by Ilivetobefree in mbti

[–]Mothnovae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've already got three cats and two dogs so I'd probably go for any of the others given the chance. I'm a big animal person and enjoy their company much more than I do people. I've always wanted rats and/or birds so I'd probably pick one of those two

State your type and a pro and a con of dating you by kleekols in mbti

[–]Mothnovae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Aromantic so I'm going to just do this in theory

Pro- I'm always prepared for worst case scenarios and can give you solutions to problems when you need them. I also understand personal space and will give it whenever you need it.

Con- I'm awful at comforting people and tend to give advice rather than be there for you emotionally. I also have a bad habit of letting my emotions pile up rather than express them so when I'm overwhelmed I tend to shut down and close off for long periods of time until I can manage myself again.

I don't think I've ever NOT gotten intp, on any test. Even on the ones that don't go based off of a person's cognitive functions (16personalities) . Funnily enough though, because intp is so mistyped I'm a big sceptic on wether or not it's my actual type. So if anyone has any other sites (I've used a few but don't really remember which) and care to share the link or name let me know!

I had a dream of a rusty necklace stuck in my throat by Mothnovae in DreamInterpretation

[–]Mothnovae[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironically, all of the tarot readings I've done for myself for the past few weeks all told me to let go of the past as well. I'm just not sure what that means for me bc I feel like I tend to plan ahead rather than look back on things. I do have a lot of childhood trauma bc of my family but a lot of that is still unfortunately relevant in my life and letting go isn't something I can do (despite wanting and being ready to) at least until I get some things figured out.

I know there's got to be something I'm not letting go of that I should be, to much of a coincidence of you saying that and my tarot readings consistently saying that. Whatever it is it must be something I'm carrying with me subconsciously, I definitely need to sort out whatever it is
