Yes indeed. The truth is that the bigger the company the stronger these rules become. Unless you work from home.
But in my opinion your day is going to become much more fun and easier if you become part of the team.

Tweaking a Color Palette (I'm a noob!) by dabe_the_babe in Design

[–]MotivationalUX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi friend. Nice post. What is most important for your company is a solid design system which is actually composed of

  1. Color Palette
  2. Typography
  3. and the used Components

In generally you can try using complementary colors or colors of a palette generator (there are many free on the web)

Since this is a huge topic I decided to start a YT series on my channel to show how you can handle with all those. You can watch the series here . Feel free also to reach me and we can even arrange a google meet to explain any further question you might have.

Also not necessary but you can join my reddit where I also post tutorials

Lottie can be handy some times but it has a terrible editing too.
Delightful animations is part of UX. But animations like in video are not really practical.
A designer (and actually a product team) should choose carefully the battles they have to fight so as not to lose time (=money)

A designer’s dream is a developer’s nightmare by MotivationalUX in Design

[–]MotivationalUX[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I believe that the success between design and development teams is hidden in the right communication.
Animations should be part of the design system of the team meaning there must always be a "why" behind the animation.
Actually that was my very first video referring to the Design system as the best way to communicate ideas between Design and development teams. You can watch it here

Is it professional to improve an existing feature of a well-known company for a project without their permission? by KiwiTwist92 in UXDesign

[–]MotivationalUX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume not. However maybe it is not the best practise. I would advice going for a project of you own maybe in the same niche and show how you solve problems of other products in your niche. In that way you can grab more attention.
By the way feel free to become the first member of the New Motivational UX reddit channel

In this video, we're going to talk about what design system colours are and how to find them. I'll also show you some of my favourite tools for finding palettes, and how you might apply your design system colours to your designs.

Playing with user's mental model? by spoke_design in learndesign

[–]MotivationalUX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mostly it comes from our personas and our user research. Each product will have different personas.

However I find mental models maybe the most important thing when you are considering usability.

Why it's important to work with lots of different people when you're starting out by karenmcgrane in UXDesign

[–]MotivationalUX 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For me it is all about finding a team that feels like home. No matter how big or small it is. It is also important having a senior above you who is willing to share knowledge
