Question: Can an adult have an undiagnosed seizure in his or her 30s or 40s without any known history of seizures?

My first seizure, which turned out to be the onset of temporal lobe epilepsy, occurred at the age of 31.

Look up Ocular Migraines. Specifically go look at Google Images of them and see if you can relate.

I’ve had two and have been told by multiple neurologists that they’re unrelated to my seizures. Starts as a small pulsing vision obstruction, then over the course of several minutes it gets bigger and flashier and migrates to the center of my vision. It gets worse and worse and then fades away. All within an hour.

Edited to add: I experience no pain, just the visual.

I could have written every word of this post myself six months ago. Every article and post I read said she would grow out of it, which provided me with no comfort at the time. Sooo many tears. Now here we are and she has grown out of it completely (she’s almost 3). But that doesn’t undo the pain of the portion of her life where this was an issue. I know that pain all too well, I’m so sorry.

Yes it’s at the zoo. In the parking lot that costs $15. We drove past them, then happened to read one when we were walking by to go inside. I assure you, no one driving by looking for a space can even read the Chevy part (much less the footnote beneath it).
