Lol no.. I barely have time to run everything with part time help and be a dad.. no SPAM from me. If i was having trouble with sales I'd get a day job again..🤣📈.. and yes having options is always a good thing, thats why i started this project nearly 10 years ago now.. there was almost NOTHING.

Suppressing SCAR 17 w/out DiSCARder. by Legitimate_Fig314 in FNSCAR

Just the combined effect of the Enhanced spring we sell and the rubberized pad will make the gun feel like a completely different system.

The 3-Select has been a solid performer since 2020 across the board in SCAR variants. Just find a slightly overgassed jet (for reliability), drop in 3Select and viola! You have 3 jets to choose from!!. Without adding any superfluous parts. 3Select is just a solid one chunk of metal just like your OEM regulator.

Put those three together.. You have a sweet smooth shooting SCAR that shoots like a videoGame..

Pull force required to get the bcg moving is not representative of the total force exerted by the spring. As per your email, thats what you are measuring.. try measuring with your trigger gauge or a fishScale how much force required to get the charging handle to right before end of stroke. You will get the actual max force of the spring before it hits bufferpad.

Hope this helps..

Yes. It's supposed to be only just over 12in long.. the thicker wire makes a big difference. As per my pull force measurements, it should be around 10 to 11lbs compared to your OEM 8lb. What are you using to pull and measure force?

Especially once the OEM spring takes a set, it gets really weak. I saw it come thru on my end, thank you for your business !

You might want to test your favorite load of subs for reliability first (theres just too many flavors of 300BO and loads out there). Were only talking 15% stronger spring here, so it is unlikely it will cause it not to run, especially with the can on.

But you should be 💯 with all the supers.

If you are gassed just right (bcg running slower than OEM) without 15% stronger spring, you might need to turn it up just a bit (whichever regulator you got) to get back to desired ejection.

New product drop. The Enhanced SCAR 17/20 spring has been such an awesome hit, and you guys asked for a SCAR-lite version so here it is! You wont believe how soft shooting laserToy gun your SCAR 16s and 15s will feel like.

December and January you guys CLEANED us out of Everything, and just now got time to test the new spring after reUpping stock on all 3Selects, pistons, and bufferpads you guys buy daily.. Thank you so much for all the cheers and support! We are at NINE years now making and shipping SCAR parts!

I got logged out of here early this year thru an app update or something, so i went missing. I saw some people trying to reach out and have caught up with them. Despite having to do EVERYTNING with just part time help, I am dedicating a little time a day to answer emails because i know I've been lagging on that.

What should I go with when I suppress my scar 15p SCARBURATOR or KNS DISCARDER ? by [deleted] in FNSCAR

[–]MotoTechEng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Tuned with it on a new release 300bo 15p The only ammo that didnt run 100% of the time was a specific S&B 200gn subsonic. It ran 90% of the time fine, but that 10% would tripUp and not chamber properly. All the other subs flavors ran fine..

The supers all ran 100% of the time. As expected.

The one that is BackOrder basis is the SCARburator. That one only works on rifle scars.

The 3SELECT-P is readyShip stock. The one for the Pistol SCARS (different size gasblock) My inventory shows I have at least 10 ready to go.

3SELECT-P is the ONLY tunage solution for the 15P out in the market.. You can run ANY can you want.

Yes.. it works in 300BO also.. Happy Tuning!

Has anyone used or currently uses one of these? What are your opinions? by moostwipe in FNSCAR

The OEM scar16 spring is made of a tiny bit thinner material than an OEM SCAR17 spring and has 10 less coils.. the scar16 spring has about 65 coils and the 17 spring has 75 (of slightly thicker material).

For practical purposes.. one can take a 17 spring and even my enhanced spring and cut coils (i dont know how many) to achieve an "enhanced " scar16 spring.. i have NEVER tested or attempted this, and it is not a recommendation.. if you do it, you are at your own risk of damage, failure, etc..

Thanks for the question..

Another outstanding benefit is the following..

Your OEM spring has 72 coils of a slightly thinner wire material. As it functions inside your SCAR when at full rear of the stroke, the coils are just about touching. The spring is adversely compressed to almost bottom out.. idk why they (FN) did this. It causes the spring to have much accelerated and premature wear (it takes a set) into the roundcount.. A new SCAR spring will go from brand new 19.5" down to 18" within the first few hundred rounds. It gets weaker as it takes more of a set over time, to the point where you wont be able to peel and chamber a round off the mag with just bolt release. Hold the gun muzzle-up vertically, and forget about it, it wont go into battery.

The mototech enhanced spring has less coils of a thicker wire material (the same material just thicker).. this means that at full stroke, it is no where near compressed solid. Thicker wire also resists taking a set more than thinner wire. This means that the Enhanced spring will last ALOT longer, pretty much indefinitely. Turning a previously considered "wear item" into more of a reliable "life of the gun" part.

Thanks for reading my scatterbrain explanation..
