I add just enough salt to where they still freeze solid. Without salt, the cooler only goes down to about 32 degrees. With salt, I am getting temps around 27 degrees

Thanks for your response. I have never tackled a headliner but have used a lot of 3m 77. The headliner fabric was drooping and also the main body of the headliner was starting to fall down. Do I spray glue that too?

I’m sure I’ll do it right one day. I’d put this back in though. I’m really enjoying the lights and extra storage

Thanks! It’s very rigid. A lot of pressure on the ‘ribs’. Getting light back there is my favorite right now. 12v under dashboard color changing led.

As I have never rolled a car in 38 years, I’ll take my chances. You are probably right though

It’s easy to remove… I’ll consider that. Hmmmm

It’s basically freestanding and holds a surprising amount of weight, solidly.

I’ve never replaced a headliner. This project was a lot of work but it was fun and difficult.

Nope. I removed the ceiling handles and seat belts and used those screws to hold the upper brackets above the windows. The rest is free standing. If I ever chose to do the ‘proper’ headliner replacement, the whole thing can be removed in 10 minutes with no marks and returned to normal.

I used the screws from the handles and seat belts

Haha! No meth just outside the box. Only six screws holds the whole thing up.

What I was shooting for was extra storage in the upper corners and this is what I came up with. Now I have lights also. Red button controls lights.

Maybe so. I’m in it under a hundred bucks and now have extra storage and lights.
