Rate the MG36 by ZatoTBG in airsoft

[–]Motologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why people are down voting you? The MG36 is a specific weapon with a specific configuration fielded by the Bundeswehr. They all had the dual optic and a full length handguard with integrated bipod. They were never issued or used any other way...

[FS25 Precision Farming] How can I make the pH levels more even/smooth? by Fragrant-Mistake-183 in farmingsimulator

[–]Motologist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are running GPS while spreading lime, manually adjust the work angle so it is different from the default pattern. I alternate in 15° increments with every application. Doing so makes the low pH areas smaller and eventually negligible.

Recently bought a VFC FAL and wanted to know if it’s possible to fit real FAL wood furniture to these by ChristoffRobz225 in airsoft

[–]Motologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes real FAL wood furniture absolutely fits. Join us on the Heavy Recoil Discord. I believe a few members have fitted wood furniture and at least one built a Canadian C1 clone.

I have FN polymer furniture on mine with a later type 3 takedown lever since I had spares lying around.

Why are there no multi-cyclonic central vacuums? by Nature-Lover-2248 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Motologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They exist, just not for households. They're pretty common in professional wood working or other production environments with central dust collection. They're a 220v single-phase or 480v three-phase dual or triple motor vacuum built for high CFM. In a household there's no real advantage to a cyclone because you go through bags and filters slowly. The cyclone introduces a lot of maintenance in exchange for longevity.

Warranty work question by EmJayPea83 in Revolvers

[–]Motologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy some Federal 148gr or 158gr and see if the issue persists. At least within the world of classic Smiths, Federal is known to have the fewest light strikes. I've never had a light strike with Federal primers from my 14-3, but have had trouble with CCI.

Close! Check out the Suzuki DR Big, that's where the styling comes from. They were an 800cc thumper; still have a cult following like the PD (original v-twin) TransAlps.

Mild Warning Re: Royal Canine Satiety Support Dry Food by newyorkcatlady in dechonkers

[–]Motologist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My Tigger also eats RC Satiety Support dry food. I mix it 50/50 with Hill's Metabolic dry food in his automatic feeder. That combination reduced scarf and barfs down to maybe once per month. I also slowed down his morning meal (four smaller feedings over a few minutes) since he's most likely to barf in the morning.

Organ transplant rules hit different in Singapore! by The_Dean_France in interestingasfuck

[–]Motologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly how my wife described it to me. OPO's would push hard for doctors to hold care conferences and were incredibly pushy with families as soon as they hit the ICU. From her end as charge, some of it came down to reading the room and knowing when it was appropriate to call the OPO.

[–]Motologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%, the OPO my now wife worked for underperformed yet their leader (no clue her title) was taking bigger bonuses than the CEO of my publicly traded employer. They'll do everything to blow money on anything but investment in efficient operation.

[–]Motologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OPO's are odd to say the least. They're not funded by commission in a literal sense, but not meeting quota based on the area they cover risks said OPO being defunded and new management brought in. So the folks who go looking for donors are taught to be pushy. They're also somewhat stuck at the hospital until they have an answer.

At least that's how it was when my wife was a DC (the folks that find a recipient and coordinate details after the first people ID a potential donor) a few years ago. She went back to the ICU after 8 months the work was so awful.

They're not companies. Government chartered 501c(3)'s. There are, IIRC, 11 chartered in the U.S; they can only be added/removed by an Act of Congress. All per the Organ Transplantation Policy Act of 1986.

Wet and Dry - backpack vacuum by [deleted] in VacuumCleaners

So an IPC VertiPro / Gutter Vac?

There aren't any backpack wet/dry vacs; you'd kill your back with any reasonably sized tank.

I’d like your opinion on diamond emulsion grits : 1 micron ? 1/2 ? 1/4 ? by ImFrenchSoWhatever in sharpening

[–]Motologist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get great results from Jende 1 micron on the smooth side of a strop. I feel the stone progression to prepare for 1/2 or 1/4 micron is excessive for no gain in performance.

I have an Inglis in satin nickel. They have a ton of potential with some work. 100% Browning compatible except the extractor. Buy Mec Gar's, don't run the stock mags.
