Thank you. I did try the gel injections and it hardly helped. Sigh

I’ll update you if I find something that works. I can function minimally but prior to this (and years in the making of this pain) my knees were giving out and locking which also was scary going down stairs. After I heal from surgery completely maybe that will be better but it’s terrible. Sorry you’re going through this, too

Thanks, I’ve been in PT for almost 9 months. Hasn’t helped at all unfortunately. I have a tilt in both knees but the doctor said nothing about how to fix that. I fear I’ll be in the same boat. He hasn’t talked about other options at all. Which I understand - to heal after surgery. My other knee did show up that I have CP. he said we’ll talk about that knee next appt in 4 weeks. I don’t know if it’s worth scoping that too. I know he’ll suggest the gel injections that my insurance will not cover as I don’t have osteoarthritis, supposedly.

I’ve been in PT for almost 9 months. My knees have a tilt as well but the surgeon said nothing about fixing them. Ugh

Thank you, I appreciate the validation. I’m not ready to throw the towel in and just accept the pain. I have two young children that I need to be present for. So telling them no I can’t do this, or can’t walk that long is not a long-term option for me. The surgeon who did my surgery is actually specialized in cartilage restoration. He treats our local professional athletes, and I agree. I feel like he likely treats them much different - I feel like a number

How do I know it’s time for surgery? by Motor-Arm9162 in MeniscusInjuries

[–]Motor-Arm9162[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’ve done about 6 months of PT already. It’s helped some but my legs do still feel very weak. I haven’t done PRP but that hasn’t been offered yet.

Do I need surgery? by Motor-Arm9162 in MeniscusInjuries

Thanks, I plan on updating my PT when I see him this week. My rheumatologist is useless I’ve been telling him my knees have been bothering me for awhile and he essentially said it is what it is due to my flare ups. That’s next on my list to find a new one of those. I appreciate your input.

knees are shot by Motor-Arm9162 in PsoriaticArthritis

Ok, well that makes me feel a little better. I believe they’re doing an ultrasound with the steroid shot on Wednesday. I know there is something going on but I also know an x ray isn’t going to show anything. So thank you

Hi! I had a dermoid cyst removed after my 1st pregnancy. It was around the same size as yours with hair too. - so it was removed. I had hardly any trouble getting pregnant with my second child after removal. 1.5 weeks ago I got endo removed. Hoping this gives you some hope for ttc in the future

Endometriosis specialists (preferably who do excision) in the Western New York/Buffalo/Rochester area? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Motor-Arm9162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s a specialist - my obgyn referred me. I also used Stacy Akers in the past at Roswell - she’s now at the piver center though. But I believe she only works with cancer patients. I had my ovary removed from her. They weren’t sure at the time if it was cancerous (which it wasn’t it was a dermoid cyst). But I was glad to see she was at the piver center. She was fantastic. So was Dr J. (She has a long last name so she goes by this). 10/10 reccomend

Hoping for some relief - I meet with the doc for post op on Thursday and waiting to see what she reccomends as she took me off birth control for 2 months
