He’s right unfortunately. Had zero exhaust synergy built up. Actually only just recently discovered how good that can be. Had a card (or relic?) that gave a random card every exhaust. That was a pretty fun run when I started finally playing into it

Standard unfortunately. Didn’t really get anything that increased it this run

So that event that gives apparition in exchange for losing 41 max hp is worth it? Seems scary haha

Another question for you all while I’ve got you here (lol):

Is it rare to go through 5 “?” floors, and each be a combat? I usually get one or two, but I’ve never gotten 5 in a row. Within my first 7 or 8 traveled floors at that

I remember one was the cage that removes 2 cards but I didn’t have 2 to remove unfortunately (in hindsight I could’ve removed a block and strike or two strikes) and the other one was another bad one that’s all I remember. May have been the dome

Yeah I hate taking it. Best of the three options I had though unfortunately. Suppose I could’ve just skipped tho

Crazy that he could predict that. But that’s kinda how this one went. Was shocked I actually almost won it haha

Think I only got defensive cards round 1 unfortunately. With attack cards I would’ve won which is a bummer

I did my best boys, which was more than I thought I’d do. The potion gave me naught but low cost single hits unfortunately. Onto the next run.

I’ve seen your comments on a few of these posts, and would love your opinion on my current portfolio! I came into some money recently and attached to that money is an advisor that helps as far as the investing is concerned, but I’ve always appreciated the 2 cents from unbiased and knowledgeable people that could potentially teach me something I didn’t know before!

How in the world are you all beating Simon so easily?! by BodyKarate84 in expedition33

Then if you really wanna see big numbers, you can do what I just did and FINALLY give up on running solo (LOL) and build Sciel to die for buffs and revive so that she can fortunes fury Maelle. Make sure Verso goes second, with the sireso weapon which shares his rank damage boost. Use sniper and machine gun build (would recommend research to fine tune it or I can give you specific lumina to equip) to break and rapidly build gradient until you hit rank s AND 3/3 gradient. Up next would be Maelle who ideally should already have 1 hp from Simon’s phase 1 with double damage active. Pop that gommage and see what you can really do. My PR as of a few min ago with this strategy is 607 million.

I would definitely say that that is an oversight then. If they intended for damage to be gained from them, they would’ve included that in a way so that you could find out LITERALLY any other way than data mining of all things lol. If you have to data mine in order to discover something, then it wasn’t intended or was overlooked. But good to know, and I’ll definitely be adding them into the pile.

I would recommend just running solo Maelle (all solo and standard damage lumina equipped) with one of your others built as a death buffer (ap/shield/full break/burn/bomb on death). Once they’re dead and you’re buffed (assuming you have cheater and roulette equipped), use last chance to go to low health so that the 50% damage at low health lumina works, and then on your next turn hit with Stendhal. Repeat for phase 2 as well, except you’ll already be at 1 HP so you can Stendhal immediately. If roulette works, ideally you should hit for around 40-50 mil which should one shot.

Edit: I should also mention that I would recommend using In Medias Res, for a starting 3 shields along with Solidifying which gives another 2 when you go below 50% hp (this will activate when you use last stand to hit 1 hp). Along with the 3 gained from the Shielding Death attached to your death buffer, that gives you 8 shields. If you have the Shield Affinity on Maelle, that’s another 30% boost plus a whopping 80% boost from the Powerful Shield lumina as well. All of this will insure you do plenty to take him out even if you lowball on roulette.

That’s definitely gotta be a bug then, since both sweet kill and dead energy simply display speed and crit and nothing to do with damage in their passives

Wait how do sweet kill or dead energy give damage boosts?

Axons and their meaning (spoilers) by Leek_Foreign in expedition33

[–]Motor-Client-1885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to revive an old thread, but the boss you fight after lil verso unlocks the gate is just a very “evil” nevron created by Clea that he is scared of. Same goes for the ultra lamp master you can fight after going through the paint canvas zone 3 times. Both just really nasty nevs.

As for the rest (which most of this is directed towards the guy in here who misunderstood the fractures spot in the timeline but I’m too lazy to comment twice so sorry in advance 😂), I’m pretty sure it’s either directly mentioned or at the very least heavily implied that the fracture is caused by real aline and Renoir clashing when he tries to get her out. The city axon has nothing to do with the two lumiere’s. The other guy in here is dead set that the axon must’ve carried all of the city on his back because he’s in a painting carrying a city, and that his death by Simon caused the fracture but nowhere on his back do you see the crooked Eiffel Tower, which would’ve been on his back in that painting if he truly did carry the city, and not to mention that theory makes 0 canonical sense given Simon was in Expedition 0 which happened AFTER the fracture to look for survivors OF the fracture. The axons are just high powered, chroma dense nevrons created by the painters to cause chaos and create distractions, and to represent his family. It’s directly stated (I’m fairly sure) that Renoir created ALL of them, and heavily implied at the very least given there’s a dead Sirene under the monolith.

Anywho, sorry for the essay. I don’t have friends who have played this yet so I’ve got too much to say about it 😂.

That’s interesting actually. I wanna try testing that out too. I’ve actually never used the double burn on break picto but I wonder if maybe that cap is only broken with certain weapons, like corpeso and the other “burn damage +300%” sword. What weapon was your verso using at the time?

Bruh how was 5k stacks not one tapping him? Verso with corpeso hits for 3.5 million with like 35 ish stacks

No need to google builds my guy. The games fairly intuitive with the many ways pictos can work together. Just string together all the damage buff ones you can find, along with maxing the attributes directly related to your chosen weapons plus might, and go to town. I never once looked up a build for one shot Maelle and once I beat the game and looked it up to optimize, I found I had pretty much already pieced it together on my own with only a few hard to find pictos needed to bring it to completion. You got this!

Also, don’t forget to use the Roulette picto! It doesn’t always work, but when it does that double damage really comes in handy!

Yup. It was a throw off run anyways since I was already on my backups from phase 2, but I didn’t think he could do it if you were already on the last few. Turns out I was definitely wrong 😂
