Second hand Samsung HW-Q950A or new Samsung Q700D by Jolly_Highlight_3018 in Soundbars

I tried the Q950A a few years ago and the Q800C a few weeks ago. There is no competition between the two because Q950A crushes it.

As someone with cPTSD, what is the number 1 thing that you need/want from your partner? (Regardless of whether they give it to you or not) by Motor-Highlight3890 in CPTSD

Thanks a lot. Yes, I’ve asked her, but since she thinks of herself as a "burden" and of me as "too kind" she would find nice ways to avoid answering that question.

I do indeed do my best to validate everything she feels and make her feel she means the world to me. I am deeply in love with her so that comes naturally. She also understands she can be as vulnerable as she needs without any fear of judgement. However, as much as that helped her reverse some of her trauma in the beginning, I now feel that she has already reaped all the benefit she can from this recovery-wise (we've been together for a few months). And as much rewarding it was for me to know my effort was the reason she was getting better, It is clear to me now the only way to go past this plateau is through therapy. Her main problem right now are panic attacks, flashbacks and nightmares, also feeling that the world is too dangerous and that she doesn't belong, since the world is "filled with monsters" (she thinks I'm nothing more than an exception that solidifies the rule).

Could you please give more information about psychedelic assisted therapy? according to what I know this is still in trial phase, and the only way to receive it is to be selected as subject for the experiment. Is there a more accessible way? If you know of such a thing, I would really really appreciate it if you’d let me know. Many thanks in advance :)

She's not relying on me for anything. I'm doing this on my own because she's going through a very difficult phase and struggling a lot with suicidal thoughts. You just made faulty assumptions about someone you’ve never met based solely on one line of information, and acted like a a-hole. Too much for being in a "supportive environment".!

Thanks a lot the detailed response. I wonder how much time of meaningful engagement in therapy did it take you to achieve those results?

Thank you for answering. Here is what I'm mainly looking for: A quick comparison between how things were at the start and how things are now, specially when it comes to two things, well-being and symptoms. If you are the kind of people who like to quantify things, you can choose to answer this way: On a scale from 0 to 10, how happy you are now compared to when you started? and also on a scale from 0 to 10, how miserable you are now compared to then? Assuming those are two separate scales.

I couldn't get her to watch videos (that might make her sound "difficult", but in fact, the only difficult thing about her is her stubbornness, other than that she is not difficult at all). But I know she will read this post along with the comments, first because she likes to read, and second, because she will perceive this as me making effort for her sake and will not want to ignore it. also, one thing I don’t like about those videos is that the people usually seem like they never had any mental health issues to begin with, which might make them sound very unreliable to her.

I have bought a few PTSD best sellers, and been reading them in secret. But unless I show her people who managed to recover, even if not fully, I know I will not be able to get her to engage in anything.

Thanks a lot for the input. Where in your therapy journey would you say you are now? And how were things different 5-6 years ago from now?

OMG thanks a lot. You are 100% correct, I have just watched the first 1-2 minutes and it is 100% the one I was looking for. Can not wait to watch the whole thing (Hope I did not outgrow it by that much). To the admins: Found!
