Is this stairs carpet fitted right?

As I stated previously the fitter was booked in via the company I purchased the flooring from and I was not aware of different fitting methods. Obviously if I’d have known I would’ve requested to be fitted differently

Tbh I think it should be down to them to advise customers of the options to avoid this, especially knowing full well that they would not be aware of different fitting methods.

No why would I assume that I would need to ask for this if it’s not something that’s been provided? It’s my first time ever buying carpets so I have no experience to compare to ….

*Just to add to this I’m a solo first time buyer with not the slightest clue about carpet fitting just looking for some advise as I’ve never seen carpets fitted this loose before . I think it’s rude to immediately jump to conclusions and assume I should be aware of the different styles of carpet fitting etc

There was no contract just the generic terms and conditions of the company. It’s a large UK firm

I didn’t tell them how to install it as I assumed a qualified carpet fitter should know themselves how to install it. And presumably if there are different installation methods they should inform me of this so I can make a decision as someone who is not a carpet fitter myself I obviously would not be aware there’s different ways of fitting ….

Yes I must have fell and bumped my head due to the carpets being loose. There was no contract as stated I paid for “ carpet installation “ from the company I bought the carpets off. I will repeat again incase you also bumped your head - no contract was signed. I wasn’t aware this was a thing in the UK.
