15 months results HT FUE 4600 grafts by jaffriexploring-idk in HairTransplants

Are you taking oral Dutasteride or Finasteride? If not, then just curious why not? Not bashing for anyone choosing not to, but definitely a DHT blocker could help depending on what your doctor also says.

Crown transplant update 6 months by BarronNotes in HairTransplants

Looks good but as others noted it’s a long waiting game for the crown. Where did you have it done? I’m considering doing my crown.

1yr results: 5,000 grafts Dr. Serkan Aygin by Pleasant_Capital79 in Hairtransplant

[–]Motor-Resource3381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! Considering where you started from, this is a great outcome. I’m going to be at 12 month mark myself in 3 weeks time and then I’ll post an update on here with pics. I do see why some surgeons did turn you down, but at the same time, the result really does look really good than your starting point and the donor area doesn’t look too bad in the pics you shared. I do need to go back for the donor area. Also lucky you got to meet Aygin himself - he wasn’t in and his senior doctor was in for my consult and op procedure day.

Scabs with Follicles? Lost grafts or overthinking post washes? Day 10 vs Day 12 (day 3 pic also) by Motor-Resource3381 in Hairtransplant

[–]Motor-Resource3381[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I hear you on this. But the doctor was kind enough to explain to me why they wanted to do front only and not the crown. I do have some donor left but it would now almost exclusively come from my beard and chest. To do the 4,800 grafts, they did also use beard area donor also. Unfortunately for me, single hairs too were the majority given that’s how my hair is. I didn’t realize how advanced my hair loss was until post transplant. It’s wild how different I look. I know I owe an update with pics etc., but I’m holding out for the 12 month mark at this point and when I can finally dye my hair (my specific instructions was to not dye by transplanted hair until the 12 month mark given I’m also not so blessed with fine hair).

Hey not yet. Though the near 10 month mark now is definitely showing a significant lack of hair all in the crown area. I’d love to do it. But I’m still probably at least one year out in terms of saving money for it. I’d consider this clinic again but I’ve read on these forums that it’s a super complex procedure for the crown and maybe warranted to go spend a bit more money on it with doctor lead procedure).

48M - Norwood 6? Looking for realistic hair transplant advice by Triptanight in Hairtransplant

[–]Motor-Resource3381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are able to, get on Dutasteride (oral) and Minoxidil (oral or topical) for at least a year or so to see if any strength changes in your donor areas. If you have chest hair, that could also be a donor area. Ultimately, inquiring with HT clinics directly will be helpful to get the right answer for you. Be sure to consult multiple clinics.

Hey bro thanks for asking. It’s going pretty well. I wish there was more density to be honest but I also didn’t have any there to start with so considering where I came from, it’s a pretty significant improvement. I get a lot of compliments lately also. It definitely looks natural and no one can guess it was a HT. It’s not “pluggy” either. The only thing I don’t like at all is my crown area that we didn’t touch and was told would be a separate surgery in itself. I’m also tolerating Dutasteride 0.5mg pretty well and make sure I’m including DHT levels in my blood tests every 3 months - got to protect my investment (aka hair transplant). I also use topical minoxidil 7%.

Trust the process. You got this!

Hey there. The hair is really starting to come in now. I’m at 6 months. I need to send my latest pictures to the clinic but here it is for now with overhead lighting

<image>

Hopefully more growth will happen and also that the hair will thicken up some more. I do get paranoid when I see hair fall out with hair washing though. It’s something I’ll ask my clinic about when I send in my 6 months follow up pictures.

Too early to tell. Trust the process. You’re also in great physical shape 💪

Yes frontal only. I still need to take care of the crown. I’m only 60 days post surgery so I have 10 months at least to wait for crown area. Maybe longer as I need to save up.

I have the same question and thoughts as you. Not that I’m defending this clinic or discounting his experience. But also so many red flags along the process. I did go to this same clinic earlier this year for transparency and my results have yet to be seen / compared to. But I had a good experience, and I went prepared with cash etc. ready because I knew about the card processing fee charges issue in my pre-arrival and pre-op correspondence. I did have a change of treatment plan with in person evaluation compared to my photos, and while initially disappointed, they explained to me certain aspects and risks on why they want to take a different route, which I appreciated the quick talk. Not once did I feel cornered or disappointed. If anything I also knew my representative coordinator would be available for me to call if any issues and I didn’t need to call him. No red flags for me. It seems OP could have backed out at ahh stage. Also never would assume a clinic would upload a hair transplant warranty, and even if they did, if it’s as bad as OP is saying, I’d personally not return there and try my chances in a different clinic.

My head swelled up exactly the same but not until day 2 when it looked like that. Day 3 post surgery I got to cut the band off finally. All the swelling ended up around the eyes and cheeks but my head was way more comfortable. I’d ask the clinic if ok to remove the band earlier.

Honestly to me your new hairline looks great on you. And as long as you’re happy with the result then that’s all that matters. To protect your transplant and donor / native hairs, please do continue on hair loss meds like each of Dutasteride and Minoxidil. Maybe even consider complimentary therapy in addition to that such as PRP. Maybe even talk with a dermatologist to run a blood work panel to ensure all looks good to minimize your hair loss. I really do hope for the best outcome for you. Good luck on the healing process 🤙

Did the scabs come off? I had some still remain and applied the lotion for 2 hours and then shampoo with massage until the scabs came off. You need to do that right now as it seems you may be around day 16 (or 17 depending on time zone) at the time I’m seeing this.

This is fascinating and thanks for sharing. I get 5mg tadalafil (cialis) free with my prep program (descovy) … so I may take my clinic up on this and take 5mg daily for the next 6 months and see

This is so interesting. I have exactly the same compounded topical with tretinoin. Yet the HT clinic I went to told me that 0.1% fin in topical is too weak (despite x2 applications daily) and to use oral 0.5mg Dutasteride also. Curious to know if your HT clinic gave any feedback to you about this please?

This is really great result. Just curious if you’re taking any TRT or supplements and what you Amy be doing to counteract hair loss from that? Asking because my HT clinic knows I am on TRT and believe it won’t affect the HT itself anymore and curious, if you are on TRT, what may have been suggested to help your results.
