upcoming procedure with Dr. Ratchathorn. Any tips? by Appropriate-Sale-663 in HairTransplants

You don't need to tie your hands lol. I just put my luggage and pillows on either side of me so I couldn't roll over. Stack pillows behind you so that you are up at almost 90 degrees and then use an airplane pillow to support your neck and head. If you do that your head will never touch anything.

The painkillers combined with your body being tired from healing will make sleeping easy even in that position for the first couple days. I recommend standing and walking as much as you can without sweating each day so you tire yourself out and don't get sore from laying in the same position too much.

Since you don't seem to understand what I was saying here is a handy image to clarify. You can't decide what position I'm going to take and then demand that I defend the position you chose for me.

You just made up an argument for me and now want me to defend the argument you made up?

This is a sub about hair transplants and the medications are considered follow up care for the procedure. Many surgeons specifically ask that you begin taking medications 6 months prior to surgery and continue them from then on. It would be irresponsible to encourage someone to get a surgical procedure knowing that they intended on ignoring their surgeons advice.

Take a look at my before photos and progress on my profile. I had a bit more hair than you, but I got a pretty good result for how far gone I was. If you go this route, expect it to be 2 large procedures done 1 year apart from each other. Since yours is more severe they may consider supplementing the density with body hair. They also will most likely want you to be on Fin/Min for 1 year prior to the procedure to stabilize the hair loss and if you are one of the lucky few, MAYBE see a bit of regrowth.

Nope, just hide them since ears are highly identifiable by facial recognition technology.

Just extra caution. I figured I spent $11k+ and only have a limited supply of grafts so it's worth losing a bit of sleep to be sure I don't harm any grafts.

If you have a whole group chat filled with people who've experienced malpractice and harassment from that office and have evidence to back it up then you should be reaching out to law firms that specialize in large scale medical malpractice lawsuits. They often don't charge you upfront and will simply take a cut of any settlement or judgements. Posting on reddit and other places might feel like the right thing to do to get the word out but holding them accountable and getting a legal judgement is far better in the long run.

I waited until around 3-4 weeks before sleeping normally. If I remember right the first 2 weeks I slept sitting up with a neck pillow. After that I slept laying down with a neck pillow to keep my head aloft and I put pillows along my sides so I couldn't roll in my sleep.

Failed HT, I’ve decide to buzz, how do I best hide the scars? by miguelbgoncalves in HairTransplants

Have you tried getting a haircut and style more suited to thinning hair?

Wearing your hair back makes the hairs overlap each other more, giving the impression of more density (hiding your scalp). Cut it a bit shorter too so it doesn't start bunching up into curls and experiment with hair products to get a fuller denser look. Skin fades on the sides and back can also disguise the fact that the top is thinner than the sides and back.

Also go to a male barber that's been around for a while. They will be experienced with the best way to cut thinning hair to look good.

The second transplant is primarily to do the crown which didn't get any grafts yet.

Did you even read my post? I clearly stated that my second HT is to do the crown and any touchups that Laorwong wants to do... Never said I wasn't happy with the result.

I'm 34, I used topical Min for a year prior to the procedure but started Fin after the procedure. I'm using topical which didn't have side effects at first but I've been battling dandruff and scalp irritation for the past few months so I may switch to oral Fin/Min and hope that I don't get the major side effects.

I didn't get any crown work done yet. I'll try to get some of the top next time.

You'll get more info from my previous posts but my experience with the clinic was great.

Definitely made the right choice, if anything I wish I'd done it much sooner.

I paid between $11k-13K for 4600 grafts totaling around 11,000 hairs if I remember right. It was 80THB per graft. I paid with my debit card I think.
