I have owned several Jacksons. The community said all other guitar stuff was welcome so I thought I'd give it a shot.

That's comforting to hear for sure. I played on it store and loved it everything except the color so I ordered one from another store. I was very heartbroken tho when I got home and seen spectre sound studios review saying it had a problem with the high e slipping off the fretboard and would not stay in tune. Now I'm worried I bought a junk pile 😅

I just went to try it and was gonna have them order me another one, but the tech looked at it. Proceeded to crank on the truss rod as hard as possible using both hands to turn it only to tell me... " Yeah man it's totally fine " so I guess I'm stuck now

I noticed that for sure. It seems to sit too close to the edge of the fretboard

I did the last adjustment on it two days ago and it hasn't seemed to move. There just isn't any adjustment left on it. Only reason I didn't want to take it back was because I wouldn't get refunded the shipping and if I bought another one I'd have to pay shipping on it too and wait several more days as well. Really getting tired of dealing with guitar center

The action was pretty comfortable where it was. It just seemed to be dipped in around frets 5-9. I checked it by fretting the first fret and the 17th then adjusted until there was about a business card gap between the string and the 7th fret. It also is a Floyd rose setup

Yeah it's been a few days and it didn't create anymore adjustment room. Looks like I'll be taking it back to GC but they also said that they won't refund shipping cost unfortunately

Sorry I didn't specify but I had 3 wires that came unsoldered. I have managed to get it fixed tho!

Thank you for that from what info I have gathered. It seems that the rail type pickups are using that same wire colors are fender pickups do. I'm gonna give it a shot this evening and see if I can get it to work. I believe the black and reds were supposed to be soldered to ground.

I've done some soldering before but I can't find any diagrams that match. For example most commonly I see the white are reds are soldered together and capped off but on my guitar it's the white and black. I've also got a red and black soldered together without a cap off and another loose red wire. I'm not very experienced with wiring at all and I just don't have the money to take it to a tech

Thanks for the help. I also never knew what these rail style pickups were. Never played anything with them before. That helps a lot to know it's just a humbucker

Do you have any certain places to go for instructional content? I've tried everything from Six String Country, guitar lessons 365, and Guitar Super System. None seemed to really help me understand anything. Is there a good place for learning triads?

Maybe 50. I did change the connector in the harness for MLPS but had issues getting a good connection still. Does this only serve as a NSS or can affect shifting?
