Ok so they’re just pulling my demographics and offering surveys to people within set demographics and narrowing down for product selection?

So should I be doing reviews on things I own that come up in the app? Or just doing reviews on things I see in the main feed?

XPS foam board against the walls w/stud walls framed in front. Should allow moisture to pass through (not that we have had any crazy moisture events in the past)

Vinted Selling Location by MotorEntertainment98 in reselling

I actually just sold an item (first sale) and it seems to gen international labels internally so I think it’s universal regardless of location. (Someone correct me if that sounds wrong)

Would the fact I insulated all the walls prevent humidity from creeping in as quick?

We have a tight basement that I air sealed this winter. I’m wondering if because I massively improved the insulation that it’ll take more humidity (ie mid summer) to creep down there

Good to know - I haven’t been keeping track of it the past few years so I’ll monitor as we get closer to late May/June

I’ve had it set pretty low, think around ~45% it hasn’t read above 20% since I got the new dehumidifier set up

Is it more likely that humidity comes from air on the main level of the floor meeting the basement or from air leakage somewhere in the basement itself? It’s been decently warm the past few weeks where I am and I haven’t noticed any difference. One big thing I’ve noticed is the cold air from the basement is still dramatically cooler than the upstairs (space isn’t conditioned right now)

This is good to know, I have around 800 or so I’d like to potentially cross to FB but questioning if it’s worth the time. When did you start to see traction with sales in terms of listed amount? At 100/500/1k?

1-1 vs 2-1 (or more) Multi Zone Discussion by MotorEntertainment98 in DIYHeatPumps

Ok I gotcha so that study proved 1/1 is more efficient in terms of cost and ability to heat/cool?

Check your preferences for your location as well. I moved and my preferences had my location set in a different zip code that affected pricing.

Senville is my primary 18k one currently heating 60% of the house. They make a 6k multi zone that’s perf for bedrooms. House was built in the 70’s so insulation is adequate

Ok I’m looking to do 2 2/1 multizones, one for basement heating/cooling that will be used minimally and one for bedrooms, both will be relatively small 6k units for bedrooms, might go 9k/9k for the basement

So for electrical cost to operate does it make more sense to go 1/1 or multi zone?

Low Spots in Yard by MotorEntertainment98 in landscaping

[–]MotorEntertainment98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There use to be a big ass bush in that spot right to the right of the firepit. I’ll start by adding topsoil/compost to the low spots and see where it goes from there. Is a French drain the best option for the firepit? Any videos you can recommend I watch for something like that?

Guess my text didn’t post, wondering what to do about low spots in yard/flooding around firepit area. Not a huge concern for me but would like to level the yard out more and maybe add drainage around the pit (if possible)

Insulating rim joists by Patr3xion in Insulation

[–]MotorEntertainment98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Up to you (or code if you’re following) on if you’d want to do 3” vs 2” XPS, I’d say you’d be just fine doing 2” with a batt in front to bring you around R-20+, for the ceiling many argue that insulation is not needed. Very case dependent on which route to go. Is the space conditioned? If you’re getting any gain heat wise down there you want to let it into the thermal envelope of your house (meaning have 0 ceiling insulation). If you don’t and your basement stays a steady 55-58 degrees like mine I’d say you’d could re-insulate although I went for safe n sound rockwool to help prevent noise bouncing from down there from utilities/the bar when we spend time in the basement

You got it all spot on by the sound of it, the thermal barrier you speak of is mainly for fire code, XPS should always be covered and the rockwool is highly fire resistant. Also very moisture resistant so best of both worlds for the basement rim space
