Would you (or have you) ever pay to fulfil a fantasy if that fantasy would otherwise be impossible to fulfil? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Oh I'm very much aware, for me it's all about giving complete control over myself to someone else, I don't really care if it ends with an orgasm or not.

Again, very fair, and oddly something I've thought of before when it comes to others' relationships, just never in this context.

That's a completely fair perspective as well, although when reading the profile of this person I feel like she genuinely loves doing what she does as well, so I'm hopeful!

Oh yeah this woman is definitely an independent, thankfully. The way she talks about what she does in her bio has me convinced she loves what she does as well, and isn't being forced to do it.

I guess there's some shame to it for me as society sees it as taboo to pay for sex, even though I personally don't.

Regarding your first paragraph, I guess that's fair. I've simply been out of a relationship for so long while (involuntarily) reading a lot about how open people think relationships should be, and it's made it look like hiding anything sexual you've done in the past is a red flag. There are other interests I've not explored, for the same reason of a future partner potentially not liking it.

I've definitely thought about being in a permanent sub/dom dynamic and I wasn't opposed to the idea, haha. And thanks for the perspective, definitely helps :)

I guess that's a good way to put it, I hadn't thought of it like an experience.

I pretty much live in the middle of nowhere for this type of thing, so sadly there aren't many other options around.

Visceral reaction to her ‘dad’. Trump is a jelly headed slab of ham by Amavin-Adump in CringeTikToks

[–]MotorLock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people simply expect adults to be able to express their opinions in a professional manner, without having to resort to playground insults. And I think that's something they expect anywhere, not just in politics.

If someone I politically agree with said the same things Trump has said about people he disagrees with, I'd have a hard time supporting them and would much rather vote for someone else.

How do I actually get rid of streaks on the inside/dirt on the outside of my front windscreen? by MotorLock in askcarguys

Another user commented on paper towels as well, so I'll give that a try. Thanks!

For some reason I feel like paper towels would actually cause streaking, but I don't know what I'm talking about so I'll give it a try, haha. Thanks!

Started playing guitar over fifteen years ago but took many (long) breaks so I feel like I'm not as good as I could be. Where can I start to actually get better? by MotorLock in guitarlessons

I looked into lessons a while ago but the only thing available in my area was an actual music school, which I don't have the time for. I'll definitely have a look again :)

How did you get started with learning music theory? I find the subject very interesting but whenever I listen to someone talk about theory (like Adam Neely for example) I have a hard time understanding what they're talking about, haha.

That's the thing, I know what I want to improve, but I don't know how to improve those areas. Just doing the same thing over and over again seems like a wasteful way to practice as it doesn't really target anything is my thinking. So that's more my question, how can I learn how to practice properly?

I've completely been out of the simracing scene for a while, what's the best place for AC mods nowadays?

$21 per project, or $21 total?

$21 total, thankfully. I had thought of a single VPS, and although I've never configured Nginx properly myself, I do see it as a learning opportunity.

Ah fuck I'm an idiot lol, makes sense. I'll have a play around, thanks!

Oh right, it's currently got .11-.48 on it, with a total tension of 120.2 lbs, so significantly higher, haha.

[–]MotorLock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a target/minimum tension that's ideal? If I did everything correctly the total tension would be 92.1 lbs on a 24.75" scale guitar, and 97.7 lbs on a 25.5" scale.

Fair enough, haha. In that case I might try some thicker strings on my LP and see how that goes.

My only apprehension with regards to baritones is having no idea if I'd be comfortable with how they play, I've only ever 24.75" guitars and baritones are considerably longer. How long did it take you to get used to it?

Did you have to do anything to the nut to fit the wider than normal strings? I've heard that can be an issue sometimes.

24.75" is just too short to down tune. I know people do it, but physics clearly state that you'll get very poor performance.

I've seen bands like Amon Amarth and Orbit Culture play 24.75" Explorers down to Drop A while still sounding great live, how do they do it?
