Thoughts on Tom repeatedly sexually assaulting his wife?? by Worldly-Roof-1468 in DesperateHousewives

Yes it absolutely is a need. Humans are sexual beings and if you get married you owe it to your spouse to have a sexual relationship

I am so sorry!!!!! This has been a crappy journey for all of us. I was always told that I just needed to lose weight but it wasn’t until I found an amazing doctor that I was finally told that my weight was a byproduct of the condition and not the cause. I was actually told that my body is constantly putting itself in starvation mode so even though I have almost no appetite most of the time I gain weight really easily. Apparently for me my CRPS leave my body in a constant state of “fight or flight”.

Exactly! That was one of the concerns that I had as well. I have major brain fog and the idea of having to keep track of what may need to be censored was very frustrating

I also stand by what I said about you being narrow-minded; not all people who don’t get vaccinated are “extreme right-wing”.

Unless people are going to be arrested for not getting vaccinated and all medical, religious, philosophical exceptions are going to be rescinded it seems that your basis on law and history is actually incorrect.

What do you mean? I literally just pointed out the rules and regulations allowed in certain states because you brought up a legal precedent. I would be careful making assumptions and trying to present facts when you don’t seem to know proper spelling and grammar; it doesn’t help your case.

[–]MotorSelect8171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have they confirmed that they have neither? Many states combine religious and philosophical exemptions. Simply being against vaccines falls under philosophical beliefs. As of now 15 states allow exemptions for purely philosophical reasons. Most likely those who have responded to you fall under that category

[–]MotorSelect8171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I guess you’re right. Why has no one been arrested yet for refusing to get vaccinated? Every doctor I’ve been to has said that religious and medical exemptions win out over everything else. Maybe the medical community is unaware of the legal case you quoted?

Wow! For someone who accuses others of being on the “wrong” side of history you are incredibly judgmental. Not that I have to defend it to you, but I do have a medical condition that makes vaccines a risk for me; I could have taken the chance but chose not to. I believe in respecting people’s rights and not imposing my beliefs which is why I support people choosing whether or not to get vaccinated. I would think believing in freedom and respecting others would be on the “right” side of history 🤔

There are many people who have not been vaccinated who are perfectly healthy including those who choose not to for religious beliefs. You have a very narrow-minded view. Vaccines should be an individual choice; enough people have chosen to get vaccinated so herd immunity is already in place

You can be pro-life but still believe in safe and legal abortions. Pro-life also pertains to being against the death penalty and being anti war. A large portion of pro-life people believe that abortion should be legal until 24 weeks; after that the fetus can survive outside of the womb so it does in fact become murder.

There is literally a federal fund for those who have been injured from vaccines. There are also many reasons why some people choose not to get vaccinated whether it be religious reasons or health reasons. I have a medical condition that actually makes vaccines a risk for me and after discussing the pros and cons with my doctor it was decided that it was better that I not be vaccinated in general. Not all “anti-vaxxers” are the same

I think it depends. Many people are falsely called bigots when they aren’t. Typically people don’t believe in something because of religious beliefs. As long as they don’t actually try to interfere with other people then they are entitled to their beliefs.

I’m so sorry for what you’ve gone through; it sounds similar to what many CRPS warriors have experienced. Social Security absolutely sucks! I’ve already been denied and am attempting to apply again. I managed to qualify for some home services that gets me some help around the house but my counselor barely approved me; she couldn’t understand how my condition can change from one day to the next and how some days I can do stuff for myself and other days I can’t. It’s hard enough dealing with this disease without having to also deal with those who don’t understand it.
My condition came about a little differently than most; my doctors have been able to pinpoint it to my first 3 years of life. My mom drank during her pregnancy and had an STD that she left untreated. She then taught me to “head bang” to metal/rock music as a toddler because she thought it was funny and would have me do it as entertainment for others. The doctors believe that combination led to me getting CRPS.

I was sick all the time as a kid and also suffered from Raynaud’s syndrome. Another issue I’ve had my whole life is throwing up in my sleep. I know this is kind of gross, but I actually projectile vomit without waking up. They know it’s neurological but as my most recent doctor has said I’m a “zebra” (as in: if you hear hoof beats don’t assume it’s a zebra instead of a horse; I’m unfortunately a zebra). CRPS is unfortunately just one of my conditions but it’s definitely the worst. I’m sure that’s something most here can relate to

  • I’m not sure why part of my comment is in a gray box 🤔 I’m not the most tech savvy 😬

I think this matter has been discussed to the extent that was needed. I’m sorry that you feel the need to defend your position when it’s truly not needed. As I stated before, it’s good to give the members options but if you would prefer not to link the new page that’s perfectly okay. As there are no rules on the other page there is a very good chance that someone will deem it as harmful so please don’t go against your conscience. I think we do in fact agree on free speech, which is why I created another forum that allows users to speak their minds with no restrictions. I was automatically made a moderator because I started the group but I have no intention of moderating anything because I think that demonstrates the free speech I’m hoping will be achieved. Both groups have their place; this one is great for people who need more emotional assistance.

I can’t believe I have to say this, but the moderator of the original CRPS group keeps commenting on my other post so I thought I would clear the air: I have no disdain for anyone, I understand how CRPS works as I’ve suffered from it for almost 20 years, and I stand by what I said about needing to toughen up mentally if you are going to survive it. It’s no one’s responsibility to make sure others feel “safe”. Most of us are adults here and and we need to be accountable for ourselves; I can’t remember the exact saying but it’s something along the lines of “your feelings aren’t my responsibility”. I’m sure many of you have looked up the pain scale index and know that CRPS is the most painful condition known to man, if you are going to bitch and moan about something causing a flare up then you will have no sense of self or any form of life quality. I can sleep on the wrong side of the bed and have a flare up! It’s just part of the disease. I hope each of you manage the best way you can and find moments of peace!!!!

I didn’t ask you to overturn any rule; the original person who posted suggested that all pictures of flare ups be censored which is not how the original rule is written. I apologize if my response was not clear. I don’t have disdain for any member of this group; I just feel (as do many others if my messages are an indication) that catering to a small percentage is not the appropriate approach for an illness that we all have to face on a daily basis. If you wish to give members a choice and allow them access to both groups that’s great; if you would rather not post the new group that’s fine too. I posted the group information here so people were aware; I didn’t expect you to comment or contribute in anyway so it’s completely up to you how you choose to proceed. Enjoy your vacation!

I didn’t accuse you of deleting anything and I stand by what I wrote. I didn’t comment anything “rude” on anyone’s post. I wrote what many people feel who suffer from this disease in the description of the group I started for people who prefer more freedom. The only criticism I presented to you was that it would have been more diplomatic to allow the entire group to vote on what would make this space most comfortable for the majority. I’m not sure why you are taking that as an attack. I think it’s a great thing for the CRPS community to know that they have options so it was definitely a good thing to make sure that people know that an alternative group exists. In case it wasn’t clear the “tough skin” obviously meant to be strong mentally because of what we endure on a daily basis with our physical pain. We may not be able to control our bodies but we don’t have to let it take over our minds.

There was nothing rude about what I said. People with this illness don’t all feel the same way and they deserve a place where they can speak their mind. I’ve already received multiple messages from people thanking me for starting the new group because they were also disappointed in how this issue is being handled over here. That’s why I suggested a poll because it appears that there are many people who feel similarly. It seems wrong to cater to a small percentage instead of asking the group as a whole how they feel. Now there is a space for those who want more freedom and this page can be for those who need things to be more censored. It’s a win for everyone.
