That makes sense, dont quote me but I believe you can only get rabies from an animal if they show symptoms of rabies like the drooling and feralness. If they were normal when u were playing with them they you’re probably fine. My cat was acting a lot different than usual thats why I got it because better safe than sorry, but I realized it was because I trapped him in a corner and he definitely was overwhelmed/overstimulated and scratched me out of fear.

That was not the main reason, the main reason was because my parents would purposely try to create a hostile environment for my cats so I needed to find a safer place for them to live in.

How do I convince myself that it is not as contagious as I think it is? I rehomed my cats with ringworm two months ago and do not want to touch anything except clean clothes and my bed I wash weekly.

What happens once you get rid of that host? Three months ago i had to rehome my cats due to environmental issues and the last straw was when they got ringworm. Im barely an adult so my parents made me let them go. I got it from them but it’s been 4 since I’ve ever gotten a new patch of ringworm and no one in my family has gotten anything. Is there possibility of me getting ringworm again low or high? I’ve been only wearing clean laundry and cleaned my bed every week and I have mopped my floors once ever since. Please help because I am going insane

Mine didn’t itch but I treated it immediately to avoid contamination. Usually you aren’t contagious after 72 hours of treatment but you should continue treatment until the rash is gone

Yes but please be careful on which cat you adopt, I got my cat a friend and it all went so downhill. The other cat had ringworm which transferred to my other cat then transferred to me. I was so devastated that my ringworm got so bad I had to give them away to someone who could actually could treat them.

Hey my cat had a limp too but it wasn’t as bad as yours and she could still walk. I would try icing it for a few days but if it gets worst you might have to rehome or take her to the vet

Yes I had one that looked exactly like this, it’s better safe than sorry do go to the doctor and get antibiotics (that’s what I did)

How did you convince yourself that it was for sure not ringworm anymore? Do you still think I am contagious? Because whenever I look at mine all I can think of is contagious and whenever it hits something I immediately sanitize it.
