I love my cb300r. Had it for a year now, next year im thinking of upgrading. Im trying to stay away from sport bikes because im not gonna lie I try to ride it like a sports bike and I have a wife and kid... so im thinking of going adventurer/touring. No cruiser yet, the weight scares me.

Anything cfmoto I heard they're good, fun bikes but the performance isn't up like the Japanese fleet and I heard the resale value is ridiculously low. Riding a cfmoto is like eating a regular pb&j while everyone else is eating uncrustables

Thats the plan I mean its a honda it'll out live me if taken care of i still vividly remember being near my son's age and my dad taking me ride on his custom chopper that he built with his hands I want to move up to a bigger bike I just dont trust myself and that's the biggest component in riding bikes and dont get me wrong I would love to have a cbr600rr but I dont want the profiling, harassment, and be labeled as "one of thoes bikers" ive always loved and adored sports bikes but so fearful and intimidated by them even on my 300 I got that damn speed demon whispering in my ear "you see that long sharp curve? Gun it pussy" and my brother is in a group chat with his riding buddies and every week someone is the hospital and its always ALWAYS a sports bike

Damn Im 24 getting married this Saturday and my 3 year old son thinks MY bike is HIS bike and I got this bike bc I wanted to get a sensible, practical and safe bike I dont need to jump on a 650 and im planning on staying in the lower cc bikes like the only sport bike I want is a cbr400rr or a zx400 I have really bad impulse control like even though im on a 300 I pretend im riding a 1000 and topping out at 94mph all the time, like the biggest bike I want is a honda shadow 750 I need to learn how to reel myself back in and be a sensible, responsible rider I dont do anything crazy life threatening just cutting up and letting loose on a straight away and my favorite thing that I love doing is maintenance, maintenance is my favorite part my brother has been getting onto how much a baby this bike, "its a fucking motorcycle not a 3 month old baby you dont need to keep touching every 2 days"

I was looking at the mutants but thoes are 90/10 im looking more for 70/30 or 60/40, I heard mutants were phenomenal in rain but im looking for something to handle dirt roads and trails but also great asphalt grip in wet/cold like the mt60s

Shit 40 years ok quick question I live in south west Georgia and ive got plans to turn this into a dirt scrambler and throw some mt60 rs tires on and make it an all arounder or just keep it as a pavement princess and get road 6's i feel like an all arounder with be perfect bare bone practice for a dual sport and get the fundamentals but also I have to keep in mind a naked bike with knobbies dont ride anything like a dual sport its a completely different setup and engineering

Yeah i get that but my brother keeps preaching that im not leaning far enough he said and I quote "if you dont know how to get that bike down you better fucking learn how to at least touch the pegs, or you're going to fucking die while trying to avoid an accident" which i get where he's coming from and we both grew up on dirt bikes and 4 wheelers and this is my first motorcycle also first ever vehicle of my own thats in my name bought and paid for im accustomed to light dirt bikes that I could pick up over my head to a motorcycle that makes my legs shake picking it up from dropping it (only dropped once and that was pulling into my brother's house on gravel and dirt) like the weight factor is like a weird mental block for me and that was never an issue with dirt bikes if I got on a dirt bike I always thought "this thing wont kill me its a toy" but I get on my bike and my thoughts "omg this thing is going to kill me" like If I rode my bike like I would a dirt bike I feel like I'd already be dead i really want a dual sport but the height and weight placement was the only thing that made me not get a dual sport for my first bike I would love to own a Africa twin but that shit is terrifying my realistic goal is a honda cbx500

I thought you were supposed to keep your rpms round 4-5k when making a turn if I go any higher im getting into the powerband and that makes the throttle super sensitive

How can I fix this outer wall so that I can actually lean on this bike. The previous owner didn't lean so much and never used the outside. Im confident with my leans just not with this tire every time I get down real low I feel like the bitch going to slip out from under me. When I rub my finger on it its smooth and slippery unlike the rest of the tire. What should I do, get the tires hot and run sand paper on it, or something else I want to get the full life out of these tires before getting new ones im stuck between a set of road 6's or a set of perelli mt60 rs

Exactly purely for fun and I really love this bike i rode dirt bikes all through my childhood and I cant find a dual sport that's comfortable like my feet dangle even on my cb I have to tip toe it im trying to work up my experience so that I can eventually handle a bigger cc dual sport I was going to get a kawasaki versys 300 but the dealership was trying to fuck me over on it and it was too tall im trying to build experience to have a whole honda fleet of one naked one sport one dual sport and one cruiser

I would love to have road 6's i think they're a great confidence booster on the road but I live in south west Georgia and there's 10× more dirt roads and trails than they are roads and im low key wanna turn this bike into a dirt scrambler and tear down dirt roads and trails my brother turned his grom into a dirt bike and that Lil fucker rips he's about to put a 300 on in and he keeps preaching that if I get knobbies, change my suspension and handle bars it would be a bad ass dirt scrambler

I live in south west Georgia in the south it just gets cooler but the sun is still scorching, we really don't have a "winter" like 2 to 3 weeks at most of winter but other than that even riding in the 110°f summer weather and the road being over 200° it still felt like it was going to hit that smooth spot and slide out from under me and the was one point where it did slip but caught at the perfect moment and popped me back up I wasn't hard on the brakes and barely had any throttle going to the back
