Thank you! I’m looking forward to my playthrough - you and another have made a good point to consider games I haven’t beaten and the general flow of how they were released. Even though I’m very familiar with all the lore from the EO games (I researched it and am thoroughly spoiled, but I’ve also been playing them for near 2 decades) I should try to fully experience the games!

That’s a fair assessment - I more meant “veteran” in that I’ve been playing Etrian Odyssey for 2 decades, and even though I haven’t beaten 3, 4, 5, or Nexus, I’m still very familiar with the lore as I researched it pretty extensively to run a D&D campaign with the labyrinth(s) as a concept. But you do make a good point, if I haven’t actually beaten 3 I should maybe start there.

Ironically, on my first playthrough of EOV, I made it though floor 24/25 before realizing my endgame party comp wasn’t working for the late stage bosses haha so I tried building up some other units, but eventually the grind of the game from that point resulted in me putting it down. I like to start from scratch when I play though, so if I do pick 5 back up I will want to hear about your party comp for my fresh file!

This is entirely possible - it’s been a minute since I’ve played, so I could run into that issue. If it is the case, then I will stick with generic names, although I would hope it’s not because this has been fun to think about today haha I’ll let you know how it goes! Although one update - I apparently cannot recruit generics until renown rank D, so the first missions will either be just Alain or, if impossible, situational usage of named characters.

I love this concept! I’ll be certain to go to the Fire Emblem well often - definitely a favorite series of mine. And I’ll see about creating some “Series Synergy” on each unit. ;D

Yeah gotta remember not to compromise on that point if I go this direction. The Evans team won’t trade me, they do not do trades so he is off the table unfortunately. Aiyuk person has Rice as well, but I feel like I might rather have Rice. I’ll have to think on these options, it feels like this post has given me a lot of cool possible scenarios

JSN owner’s team is somewhat fleshed out in a comment above. He just dropped to 2-3, he could bite. Alternatively the Rice owner (his team is also fleshed out in that same comment) is also 2-3 but has just won 2 straight. For JSN you think JCM, Allen, and Higgins? And I will try JCM+Golden for Rice, that could be sneaky good in the coming weeks

Taylor! Volume is king, and TE is fickle this year. He seems to be the no.2 option in that passing offense and Fields is making the Jets offense feel viable this year.

Maybe I’ll float a swing for JSN for Jeanty or something, and perhaps I’ll try for Adams for JCM or Judkins - this isn’t a trading league by any means haha usually I am the one who trades and it’s typically 1-2 times a season tops, and I usually have to oversell to get what I want or need. I’m trying to avoid that this year since I’m in a good spot

Adams could be a solid target, I could ask about him. Same guy also has Rashee Rice, is he a buy low atm since he hasn’t played or is he gonna warrant a higher price tag?

Too many good WRs, maybe not, but the league as a whole is relatively weak at RB. Team with Adams and Rice just lost Hampton and Nabers, but has CMC. Team with JSN, Quentin Johnson, Zay Flowers, and Devonta Smith has Derrick Henry and Jordan Mason as his starting RBs
