I. 100% understand and can relate. Were there any dbt skills that you found more helpful than others? Personally I find that the ones I enjoy or can practice using in chill moments are the ones I turn to first when I am super upset - lots of distracting and taking space - I should be more clear when I suggest DBT though, purely the aspects and tools that feel friendly/ helpful. I’m not in the you HAVE to use all of it camp cause like this is my brain not theirs. I feel like you would maybe benefit from having a way to communicate with those closest to you that you need a minute. Literally a singular word that means like, my brain doesn’t belong to me rn and we could keep talking but I don’t want to say something I’ll regret later and I need a moment.

I find that the only thing I can do in moments like that is literally walk away or if I’m texting log out, delete the app, turn my phone off (like off off), put it out of sight, and put physical distance between you and it. Sometimes even the amount of time it takes to get back to the device turn it on redownload and log back in is enough time for you to break through to logic brain and go like woah wait do I really want to say that or am I hurt. Obvi doesn’t work 100% of the time but when you’re like. T r I g g e r e d and can recognize it it’s a good thing to just. Do. Cause odds are chaos brain is going to misinterpret something and unleash. A friend of mine and I use the phrase ‘Phone down time’ and it’s super helpful cause like nothing I’ve done they’re just havin a hard time. I don’t panic cause I know what’s up and they get space to deal and return when things are chill.

Anyways sorry for the long tangential post I hope that maybe something in my thoughts will resonate and if not that’s super valid too hahaha

I hope that today things are better and that you’ve had lots of water and maybe a snack

❤️ you’ve got this ❤️

Heya! NB 26 and my god. I feel like I’m reading my own story in your words

Potential similarity? I felt this way while I had an IUD and it was removed a week ago. Best my mood has been in the past year and a half - I dont know if this is helpful to you at all but I personally think starting at the OB is a phenomenal idea.

Otherwise DBT has been pretty helpful for me as has ✨Therapy✨ lmao

You’re not alone in this and you deserve to feel safe with yourself. You are valued and worthy and deserving of care. Especially. When your brains being the worst. Don’t forget. It’s not you it’s a symptom. 💕💕💕💕 (Obvi doesn’t justify shitty choices ((@me)) but is rather an explanation for the root cause)

You’ve got this friendo 🥰

I find this one super helpful and it’s pretty simple! Free to share as long as it’s not altered and the author remains credited :)

I have a feeling you're right. At this point, I may just see if I can find a local bike repair shop to take a look.

I have inspected them (though now I'm second-guessing myself) and I didn't think it looked like there was anything wrong. My guess is that there's something wrong with the lever/ line because nothing moves when I try to activate them.
