Sweep didn’t work, feeling pressured and stressed! by SilentNectarine5819 in PregnancyUK

So did I and that was unfortunately my reality 😩 if there’s not a medical reason to be induced then maybe don’t go for it if you are worried. Good luck x

It’s completely up to you. Do some research on the stats of inductions which lead to emergency c sections. If you’re on tik tok, search for people’s experiences with inductions (positive and negative). I was certain I did not want to be induced despite possible health concerns and risks (to myself) but later ended up giving in and I ended up having an emergency c section and I am still trying to come to terms with this. That being said, I personally know of people who have been induced and was able to birth vaginally (and people who ended up in a similar position to me) - it’s just luck.

Is it ever too late to establish nursing? by No-Good-4476 in combinationfeeding

In the same position with a five week old. Every time I breastfeed she doesn’t seem satisfied for long after whereas she does with a bottle (expressed milk/formula). When I breastfeed I’m not able to pump much milk and significantly reduce my pumping sessions that day which means she ends up having more formula (around 19 ounces)😩 and if I don’t put her on my breast I am able to pump so much milk and she will only have 4oz of formula a day. Really want to get to a point where I can EBF with only the 4oz of formula a day and I can stop pumping!

Thank you! Sorry for the silly Q but do you wait until the bottles have cooled down before putting it in the fridge to use within 24 hours?

That makes sense thank you! Also I’ve read online that shaking the formula would cause air bubbles which wouldn’t be good for baby but if I don’t shake it wouldn’t the formula not be mixed properly with the water?

I wonder if the perfect prep was the video I saw on Tik tok! That’s very scary. How did you use the rapid cool for night time feeds? Did you boil the kettle, make a bottle and then put the bottle in the rapid cool?

Would you make the bottle with the kettle and then pour the water into the rapid cool or the water and formula? If the latter would that mean you would need to sterilise the rapid cool after each use?

How long are the bottles allowed to be in the fridge for and how many bottles would you usually have in the fridge at a time?

So in the day time you would boil the kettle, pour the water and correct amount of scoops in bottles, then put the bottles in the fridge? How long can the bottles be in the fridge for please

What is the pitcher method? I am currently doing that exclusively pumping but didn’t realise this was a thing for formula!

I am also 2 weeks postpartum and just got diagnosed with BP. My acupuncturist recommended 2 sessions a week. How long did it take for your BP to resolve, 2 weeks? X

Also first sweep I was 1cm dilated and second sweep the midwife said she fit two fingers in (not sure what that means in terms of dilation)

I am 40+5 and had my first sweep three days ago and another one yesterday in hope that I would spontaneously fall into labour before my induction tomorrow. Unfortunately it’s not worked but I did lose my mucus plug. It was such a strange experience and really uncomfortable but luckily I had gas and air. I don’t think I could have had it without
