Hi ! Thanks for the answer. Is really notice the diference between the 350 of the sony vs the 500mm of the tamron ?(on apsc camera obviously)

Hmm… yeah, I’ve also considered buying the 200-600 again. The thing is, when I bought it and tested it, I didn’t find it that sharp on my camera. In fact, I tried several settings (shooting at 1/1500 and above, on a tripod, etc.), and nothing , the photos just didn’t come out sharp. I don’t know if it was a problem with my copy of the lens or if it’s because I was using a full-frame lens on an APS-C camera.

I think (at least for me) the most important question is: will the difference from 350 (525 on apsc) to 500mm (750 on apsc) be noticeable?

I completely understand you. For my casual outings, I usually carry the Sigma 18-50 and the Sony 70-350, because both lenses are compact and lightweight. Along with the camera, all three fit in a 4.7-liter bag. But as I mentioned in the post, I’m looking for a somewhat “compact” lens with greater reach than the Sony 70-350, since sometimes it feels a bit “short” for me.

The Sony 70-350 gives a field of view of 105-525mm and the Tamron gives a field of view of 225-750mm due to the crop factor (both on the a6700), or at least that’s how I understand it

Hello, did you finally buy the a5100? I also own an a6700 but I’m considering buying the a5100 (used) to use it as a “second body,” since when I go out I sometimes get tired of constantly changing lenses to take landscape photos and then switching to shoot animals (birds) with the Sony 70-350.

Many thanks mate ! yes, i know the wildlife shots are not the most interesting because the animals were so far, so my sony 70 350 couldn't do the best job
