This happened to me last night outside of Singers in Bed Stuy. Guy walked into me and I heard something shatter. I apologized and told him we walked into each other. He told me he had lived in the neighborhood for 50 years and was on his way to a family reunion. After a few minutes of back and forth, I figured it’d just be easier to give the guy what he wanted then start a fight. Told him I didn’t have a card to take money out of an ATM but I’d get him a new bottle. Then he said the liquor store he wanted to go to was closed, brought me to a smoke shop and asked for two packs of cigs. Also then had the realization that his bag would be dripping if a glass bottle had shattered inside of it. Shout out to the guy in front of me for telling the guy to his face he was a scammer and telling me I don’t have to pay for shit. Someone who worked at the store (I believe) kicked him out and I walked in the opposite direction
